Afghanistan has been in violent turmoil for decades. It has hardened many of the people and made it a very unpleasant place. I have some Afghani friends here in America, a few are nice, many are war hardened and their egos are also hardened. I think because of that, they will be spinning in circles for many many years.

Yes! The Bible teaches that all wickedness will be gone from the earth in the future and only the righteous will reside on earth forever in peaceful and secure conditions and even death will be no more.
Psalm 37:10,11,29:
"And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it."
In a vision John saw of the future on earth: Revelation 21:4: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
Isaiah 65:20-25 speaks of some of the blessings in store for righteous ones on earth. It shows there will be peace and securtiy, we will not even have to fear animals, they will not be vicious, and people will even be able to build their own houses and plant their own food and not work for nothing, or in vain.

imagine with no food and clothing and shelter -- how will u react? people there have faced a lot of hardships -- financially, economically, and with Taliban everything was helter skelter.
just imagine a man who is thinking about what will he feed his child for the next meal -- when there is not a grain to eat. imagine a man who sees many soliders from other countries -- come to his homecountry -- and raping their women and killing their families in front of their eyes. imagine a man who is pissed of by his Govt -- which refuses to pay him attention, food and basic facilities. and imagine a man who is discriminated by people all over the world.
such people who have nothing to live for are easy trapped by corrupted people. such a man will be willing to kill himself. just place urself in his shoes and then give an answer urself.
that is where the problem lies -- when the priveleged can help , yet they dont help -- that incites a lot of anger & dissappointment.
Violence happens every where . it is not restricted to boundaries and religions. it is something that deals with the mentality, situations and hardships of the people. now take the latests Montreal shooting for example or the case of Catholic preists, abductions, addictions. these are things each Govt should take care of. also a lot of violence in Middle east is due to their poverty and illiteracy. now take Africa for example -- people always show that they are too benevolent when it comes to Africa -- but why isnt it a developing country?

Do you remember the nice quiet and peaceful times before, when women were beheaded in the sports arena or when the soviets ran around the country or the mongols swarmed down the hillsides. This is one of the most peaceful times Afghanistan has ever experienced.

Read the country's history- and I don't mean the past 50 years.
Without a humongous infusion of wealth, education and a return of the intelligentsia ,it isn't going to happen.
Sad because it is also an amazingly beautiful, if rugged country.

There is always turmoil after a change of government - witness South Africa, Bosnia, Serbia et al. I hope it does settle down. I do believe that democracy is the only answer.
