Options for consideration (you are likely to have more access to information about the exact situation than me):-
1 - It is a new machine and had some sort of storage or manufacturing gunk in it.
2 - It has a coolant leak, rust or some other mechanical problem.
3 - It is an old machine and bacteria or mould has built up in the tubes.
4 - Something else you are storing in the fridge is leaking into it (perhaps the loved one you recently chopped up)

Whatever your reaction to the above, I suggest you don't use the ice in the mean-time, but take it apart and give it a good clean and try again. If the problem persists, it is either 2 or 4.

You can probably rule-out 4 with a close look at the inside of the fridge (remember that the leak is probably happening with the door shut...).

If you have ruled out everything else then you should worry about a coolant leak, try contacting your supplier.

If it is old, sign up for British Gas home-care on www.house.co.uk and tell them everything is fine, then call up a little while later and tell them to come and fix your fridge....

There might be a leak of the coolant and the oil may be leaking into the water. The oil is a dark red. Oil should never get up that high in the system but many times people do not understand how refrigeration systems work. If the fridge has been moved recently and had been put on its side and not allowed to sit at least 24 hours before turning it on again then oil will get all through the system and most likely ruin it. Call a service tech. Guessing doesn't get much done.

Your Ice Dispenser makes Pink Ice? I wouldn't recommend using that, the first thing that comes to my mind is a Cooling Agent that's leaking. I would contact the place you bought it at before you start putting it into your drinks.

Sounds like rust from somewhere in the plumbing, iron pipework?? Should be copper or plastic. I assume the f/f's got a water dispenser, which will be from the same pipework, why not run off a jug of water and examine it, also take it for analysis at your public health department.

clean it out, is it under warranty? can you get someone out to fix it, personally i'd avoid discolored ice unless you knew why it wasn't clear, have you added blackcurrant juice to the water that would discolour it but nooo id not test it by tasting to find out unless it was a chemical test to prove it was safe for consumption
