It wouldn't. There are far too many people that are so convinced that only THEIR way is right that they would want nothing to do with anting that accepted things from any religions other than their own. Add to that the fact that there is no consensus as to what exactly the "good" parts of a religion are. What is "good" in a religion can only be determined by the followers of that religion, and what is "good" in one religion might be completely anathema to another. Any attempt at such a thing would be domed to failure just on that point. However, there is the added obstacle of overcoming the idea in Christian belief that a "One World Religion" is a sign of evil and associated in their minds with the coming of the Anti-Christ, so they would be the most resistant to the idea and make to most effort to prevent it.

Even if a new religion combining all good qualities, how do you propose to change the hearts of mankind? People will still defraud each other, be greedy, steal, slander and murder. or covet what the other person has. Its only by asking the Lord, to create a clean spirit within you, that you can leave these things behind.

I think a philosophy of life that has some religious qualities but avoids the inclusion of superstitions and "divine beings" would fare rather well in the years to come, especially with the slow decay of monotheism in 1st world countries.

Secular Humanism is the best attempt I've seen, although it's most definitely NOT a religion.
People will never give up religion as long as they have hope and fear, the two qualities that bring out the best and worst in people. It seems we will forever be victims of two biggest human shortcomings.

there's no best religion in the world even if you combine all the attributes of each religion that makes them the best than the other. YOU just have to have faith to the only GOD.Besides, all of religion go back to the ONE TRUE GOD! the ABSOLUTE GOD.

Not really good because people are so stuck in their ways and refuse to learn different things. Why do you think that the U.S. and Muslims are at odds? It's because they are so stubborn and ignorant and they don't want to see things from the other's point of view.

It should fare well, IF everyone respect and practice what's been preached. How about:
1. free your heart from hatred
2. free your mind from worries
3. live simply
4. give more
5. expect less

Poorly. It's been attempted before. There's nothing like the power of tradition.
