I am supposed to wake up for school in an hour! :(

I woke up about 2 hours ago from sharp pains in my stomach, and I feel nauseous as well. I went into the bathroom because I felt as if I was going to vomit, but I didn't. Now everytime I lie down in attempt to go back to sleep, my stomach hurts worse. I can't fall asleep because when I lie in bed, I am jumping out of it every 5 or 10 minutes to go vomit (which I still have not done!). I don't know why it doesn't hurt as bad (it does still hurt) when I am sitting/standing.. but I certainly can't sleep that way!

What can I do to make these pains and the nausea go away?

P.S. I can't just try to stay in bed and hope it goes away, because the longer I am lying there, the more unbearable the pain gets..

Don't lie down flat. Sit slightly up on bed. Have some warm water and lay a hot bag on your stomach. Put a pail beside you so that you canvomit into the pail and not keep getting up which will make you more sick and weak. Eat something slightly sour like sour plums...in Asia, pregnant women eat these when they feel like vomitting.

Take a tylenol and pepto bismol. Don't take asprin that will hurt the lining of your stomach. If you don't have any of those, try eating some bread and drinking some water. It could be acid in your stomach.

Take Kaopectate. That usually helps settle the stomach. Hopefully it isn't food poisoning. See a doctor if it doesn't go away in a day or two.

IT sounds like you have food poisoning, unless the pain is in a certain location. Like if it is on your right side only, it could be a appendicitis. You should probably get it checked out.

if "stomach" means left upper or mid quadrant, its probably acute gastritis. Eat a piece of dry toast, or use Pepto Bismol or Maalox.

Just a thought, try eating crackers. It worked for my wife when she had morning sickness.
