I had a bad experience with my first B*tch. I got her spayed before the first heat and she grew fat and stayed like that all her life. tried to get her on diet but nothing worked. I don't know if this applies to all breed but mine was a cross breed Gernman Shepherd. Cheers

Oh contra mon cherie. Don't let her have a heat cycle, like it's been said before, she will be more likely to get breast cancer, same goes for cats.
Get her spayed asap, make sure she's up to date on vaccinations and get her microchiped while you're at it. All well worth your money.

Please don't let her go into heat if you're not planning on breeding her. It's really quite awful for them. Spaying her as soon as possible is the right thing to do.
