i dont know what kind of dialysis u r particularly interested in but to give u a general idea, peritoneal dialysis is a dialysis using the patients' peritoneum as the semi permeable membrane for the electrolyte exchange. most common complication on this type is infection. the other type of dialysis is hemodialysis. as the name implies it uses the patients blood to pass thru an artificial kidney commonly as dialyzer for filtration, electrolyte exchange, fluid removal & etc. risks includes hypotension(most common), nausea & vomiting, cramps, disequilibrium syndrome, cardiac tamponade,cardiac arrest, infection, allergic reaction in some cases and more. although most common complication such as hypotention, n&v and cramps could easily be avoided if the patient will follow recommended diet and fluid restrictions. hope this info help
