its all about balancing ur total calorie intake. so if u are splurging on a calorie ridden cheese burger u might as well save up some cals on ur cola ... instead of adding excess cals d-uh

A large regular soda is like some 500 extra calories. I am sure if they had a low calorie double cheeseburger and low calorie large fries, I would buy those.

The diet soda makes them feel better about the rest.

When in a cafe I order a skinnycinno (sweetened with a sugar substitute) and cheesecake.

Same thing.

They get the double cheesburger and fries because it's cheap. They order the diet soda to cut down on sugar.

Alot of people like the taste of diet coke. However, I am sure they are thinking, they are being healthy a little bit, if they have the diet soda.

Some people are drinking diet soda for diabetic or other purposes than dieting. Or for their teeth. I personally can't drink regular soda because I can't stand the film it leaves on my teeth. Plus after drinking diet sodas for a while, regulars taste sickening sweet.

well as a self proclaimed ex-fattie.... Ive lost over 100lbs now... when you order a diet soda it actually cuts out un needed calories... since there are sooooooo many in the burger and fries cutting out any extra calories is good...

Personally I just like the taste of diet coke better....plus you save a little on the calories that way! Any little bit helps.

My old roomie just preferred the taste of diet drinks, she said they didn't taste as sweet.

I now want a double cheeseburger, so thank you very much for THAT ;-p

To eat since that is what we need but since the ones you mentioned are oily then it makes you fat in some cases depending on your situation. But they make you full and you still drink soft drinks oh my god ! Truly diet is best
