sometimes it is hard to keep faith but then when you are at your lowest something out of the blue happens that makes you have a little more faith then you did before usually starts a chain reaction for me anyway :)

What makes you keep your faith in God is that you regularly read the BIble. Even just a little everyday will keep your faith strong, however you need to understand what is written. The only way to really understand what is written is to be in the True Religion which teaches the Truth and doesn't make up ideas that are not taught in the Bible, such as immortality of the soul. A person is a soul, animals are souls, when they die, they die, the Bible does not teach that a "soul" or something lives on. Most religions teach false doctrines, but when you find the True Religion, (I have, but I can't say here because some will get mad) you learn Bible truths and it is what makes your faith strong. Also at James 2:26 the Bible teaches that "faith without works is dead". So if you say you have faith, yet you do not practice and do works that show your faith, you really do not have proper faith. Many think that it is enough to just believe and go to church occaissionally, however, not living your life in accordance with Bible principles will in effect make your faith as if it is dead.

To keep the faith ......through wisdom , insight , reasoning , extrapolating from the lessons of humanity , fear also from retribution and hell or in other words not being with the good guys in the end . Faith is a vehicle that keeps you together , living in hope for good now and later. Faith is the only fuel for positive thinking and positive living . HE NEVER SAID IT WOULD BE EASY ( on earth ) HE ONLY SAID IT WOULD BE WORTH IT .
Faith is the Log of wood you are hanging on to in the middle of the ocean , that will take you safely to the shore .

My faith in God has been retained over years and years of experiencing the beauty and love that life offers.

My faith has endured the toughest times that I have ever had to live through....without a higher power, I am certain I could not have made it through.

I do not conform to any religion at this time.

The reality of Christianity. In the last 25 years, I have seen miraculous healings occur when they shouldn't have. I have seen countless people released from impossible addictions. I have seen people who have lost all hope find a new reason to live. All of this has been done in the Name of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Almighty hand of God the Father, the Creator of all living.

If Christianity has a track record like that, why should I look any further? My God is a personal God who really cares for His creation.

There is no reason to have faith in any religion other than the hope and belief that such spiritual trust is ultimately correct
...in other words,

faith is sufficient unto itself

either you believe or you don't .....
but "keeping" ones faith...that is really a misnomer....
it's simply a choice....

It is not just something logical. But something inside of you that this is the truth for you. I will not mention my faith. But I figure this applies to any faith.
