I honestly don't understand it. I asked a previous question directed towards questions and had people try to tell my I was wrong for BEING christian. Why do athiests have problems w/people simply LOVING God. I don't understand the theory behind it. Live and let live.

What I'm saying is, in my previous question, I asked fellow christians if God has changed their lives as He has changed mine and I got a couple rude responses.

I didn't mean all athiests. I'm sorry. I should have been more specific. I was referring to the ones who act in the specified matter.

I believe the same way you do. Live and let live. Personally, I am a Muslim, and I get upset and frustrated at the way some, not all mind you, but some Christians behave toward Muslims. I know it's not all non-Muslims who are this way. I get mad sometimes, and direct questions at the next round of people coming along who are of the same faith that has insulted mine. It's just a vicious circle. That's why I've decided to try to abstain from using this site. Have you noticed it's getting pretty stinky around here? There's a saying that goes like this: If you smell a bad smell coming from behind a door, close the door and relax. Maybe I'll do that. And there's nothing wrong with loving God the way you want. That's your right. Peace.

If you are referring to your question:
Has anyone else put their faith in God....?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtZtP9MJG_s0blbkU5vw6Sbsy6IX?qid=20060925235248AAyAcip
then I would say that 12 of the 15 answers were in agreement with you, and told you about their experiences. There was one fairly neutral response to the effect that god is a complex theory. There were only 2 responses that were critical of your question, and they were fairly immature, but not, I think, personally abusive. This type of question is of no interest at all to most non-believers. So I do think you are being a little hyper-sensitive. Go through a few of my question, and you will see I get responses such as "die", but do you hear me bleating about it? In my experience theists on this thread are much more likely to be abusive of non-believers than vice-versa. If you are not prepared to have your ideas challenged, don't ask questions.
I don't have a problem with Christians, Muslims or Jews, but I do have problems with their beliefs, and the books they are based on, and I think I am entitled to do so, given the hate and violence they engender.

Man did you just open up a can of worms. You are in a religious forum and all different religions and even the atheist are in here ready to sink their fangs into you. This is not a coffee shop. this is like congress . These people are here to argue. Run for your life. you want to know why people don't share your beliefs. They just don't. Maybe it was their up bringing. Maybe they need proof. Who knows all the reasons for not believing as you do. You just have to understand that people like that exist and that is that. Your previous question was as much as asking them to take God into their life for the rewards they would receive. That is almost like promising them a bribe to be Catholic. I am not saying that that is what you wanted to do, but; take a step back and read the question and that is how it could be interpretted. Atheists tend to look for a causal relationship in life. Religion does not offer you that. Religion offers you a first over, God, and a history of people serving God. That is not causal, that is just matter of fact. You have to reason a cause in all this and that cause is love. But you can't prove love either so what are you going to do here? Best answer is nothing. otherwise you will find yourself like everyone else here arguing to hear yourself speak. I am sure I have just given many room to criticize me now but hey, so be it. I love you too. Take it easy and next time be aware that this is a den of vipers waiting to strike and you are standing in the middle of us. Peace.

And why do Christians have such a problem with Non Christians? And why are non christians suddenly all atheists? You guys are not the only ones who can be right about God. Jesus said there are many paths to God, some may take different turns but all lead to the same place.

First of all, this site is not exactly the best place to post any belief because people will blast you whether they agree with you or not just because they are bored.
Secondly, in a perfect world, Christians wouldn't bother atheists and atheists wouldn't bother Christians. But I guess we as humans are just wired to try to make other people believe what we believe in order to give credit to ourselves that what we think is right and good.
I think if we all just accepted each other regardless of beliefs, or race, or wallet-size, waist size, etc. this world would be a great place to exist. But....we don't.

People who simply Don't Love God are those who doesn't understand God's Love for them! And i tell you that even these atheists are created by God...they just deny it because they have not felt God's Love...
Christians have the same problems with non-christians and even have worse problems but one thing that separates us from those who don't love God is that we turn to God and repent. We seek God's help instead of relying the solutions to ourselves.
Christians have problems because we simply believe that as human as we are we can never be independent from God.

They attack you because the Bible clearly points out that everyone is a sinner--and a sinner in need of a savior. They hate the idea that anyone, even God, would have the nerve to tell them that they are lost and still in sin. They cannot bear the idea that they should let anyone else be in charge of their lives, that is because they want to be their own god.
I think that at the base of it, too, is the fact that if they admit there is God then that would mean they were lost because they reject Him. Why would they want to live with that kind of fear? Easier to deny His existence entirely.

well.....just so you know.....nonchristian doesn't necessarily mean athiest. buddhism is nonchristian, judaism is non christian, sikhism is nonchristian, mormonism is nonchristian, hinduism is nonchristian.......you get the point. i think that people are put off by a lot of the followers of christianity because they are pushers of their faith and they condemn others for their beliefs. it's not very convincing when they're telling you jesus is the only way.jesus loved everyone, didn't condemn others,so why do his followers condemn? some people are very put off by this.the thing is, there will always be different religions and there will always be people who just don't believe in God ,period. there is no one answer for everyone when it comes to religion and spirituality. but to be respectful of ones belief is something that most people could use a little more of.

I don't have a problem with All Christians. I have a problem with the ones who are pushy. They try to push their religion on everyone else when it's unwanted.. When you tell them politely you are not interested you don't believe in god. They start telling you that you are going to hell, and asking how does it feel to know your family is burning in hell, and other stupid questions and comments. That's rude! One I don't believe in hell so that's pure non-sense for Christians to not realize that.
I don't tell people they are wrong for believing in god. They tell me I am wrong for not believing in god. That is a two way street and most of the Christians on here want it their way. They want to be able to push their religion on everyone on here and convert people. Yet just have people shut their mouth and agree with them. Life don't work that way. I am not saying all Christians behave like that but most of the ones on here do. I have ministers/pastors in the family and none of them behave like that.
Just take a look at the lady who posted her answer above mine. and some of the others above her answer as well. I don't care what anyone belives in as long as they don't try to push their religion on me.

Here's where it lies for me.
It's the way that the religion is portrayed and those who portray it in those ways. There are many different forms of western religion and also different forms of christianity. It's the unfortunate combination of those who behave badly and happen to be religious that give religion a bad name. Does that make sense? And honestly, it's not just christianity. It's other religions as well.
