... and then found that their life did a total turnaround? Since I've "accepted" the lord in my heart, things have changed so much for the better. Crappy things happen here and there, but I'm just so much happier and things always fall into place. Anyone else's life gotten better simply by putting their faith in God?

yes, squall, I'm the one who said I get lied to. But there are bad seeds everywhere. You don't know where my life once was and where it is now. I was w/an abusive boyfriend and I had a terrible life. Despite the fact a few bad apples are out there and I've had the unfortunate experience of coming into contact w/them, my life is so wonderful and I am so happy. I'm not getting religious on you at all. No worries. In case you couldn't tell, this question wasn't directed towards you. I asked who else this has happened for besides me. God bless.

Also squall about the kids who were sexually abused: The catholic church kicked out the ONE priest who did that to the ONE child. So the word you meant was child. Altogether, there were 4 accusations, but it turned out the other 3 put their kids up to it because the other kids' parents got millions of dollars because apparrantley making money off of their son's misfortune was what helped them to erase the pain.

Oh yeah! I accepted Jesus Christ into my life and He turned me around! I definitely have a much more peaceful life. I have His Love and Comfort and Guidance. God has been so good to me! I would never go back to the old way, there is nothing to go back to! He's my Source, He's my Strength. Supplier of my needs, He's the Rock of my Salvation. I love to worship God.

It has happened to me. Also everyone who really got saved.
Do not stopp praying in the AM or the feeling will fade. When tempted ask God for help it will be there, and above all read your Bible and do not believe the pastor without checking things out for yourself. The people who led you were just like people you ask for directions on the street you recieved the Spirit from God and Him only. Sometimes the direction givers have their own agenda Maybe not but be aware. These people saying war this or that all say they have what you recieved. I do not believe it but many follow blindly. You will enjoy reading your Bible now keep reading and it will not go away.

My life did this turn around about 13 years ago. Now I look at others and think, "If they would just listen...." and I look back at the way my life was and wonder if it was really me--struggling to just have the will to live, to stay sober, to not be so selfish. Thank God for not giving up on me even when I was such a mess!!

Arnt you the person who asked why soo many guys cheat and lie to you? If you're going to say every thing is a act of god then your pain was too.
Don't get all churchy on me, if god was all forgiving then why the hell does he plague us with death and destruction. Kills the innocent along with the guilty. What about all those kids that wanted to accept god but all they got in return was sexual abuse. What about them, wheres was your beautiful merciful ****** then.
People only pray to god when things are good or when things are really bad.

Yes, actually, the first night I really truly prayed and let him in. I was physically healed by him. I knew it had to be him becuase I have had the pains many times before and it never just goes away like that. But instantly after I prayed befroe sleep and asked him to take away my pain...he did.....Praise the Lord.
