You are probably not having infection its just that they are trying to push their way out so the gum gets all red and swollen in the process, and because the gum is too thick they cant break through which are called impactions . If its more then you can bear you will have no choice then to get them out, I never got mine removed and they troubled me for years, but finally quit trying to come out.

Hi Breenie, Wisdom teeth are no use for us.they are so far back in your mouth,you cannot brush them right.A dentist will tell you,they don't see why we have to have wisdom teeth,we don't need them,and they have no use but giving us pain.I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled in my early 20yrs.that was the best thing i ever did.so,have the pains in the mouth pulled out.

If you have access to them, keep them as clean as possible, including (and mostly) under the gums. Ask your dentist to show you how to do this. You'll need something OTHER than brushing and flossing most of the time.
