This type of controversial book is looking to sell copy...that's all it is..outlandish conjectures, innuendo, leaps of judgment...
anything to catch the buyers' attention....
The bible never mentions a lot of personal things/behaviors/habits/likes and dislikes.....of Joseph, Mary, Jesus, the apostles, the other followers....
if the bible doesn't mention Jesus brushing his teeth, would that mean that he had dentures?
if the bible doesn't mention Jesus brushing his hair, would that mean that he was bald?
if the bible doesn't mention Jesus going to the bathroom, would that mean..??
see? you can get as ridiculous as you want playing this word game....and, unfortunately, ridiculous sells books
To the critical ideas of Christianity, to the writers of the NT, to the message of the NT, to the believers in Jesus, to the Jewish critics....it just doesn't matter
In fact, one obvious, strong, legitimate source of a counter claim....that is , a reason that Jesus was NOT gay...is that it is not mentioned by the Jewish writers that wanted to discredit Jesus and his message....not just in NT writings, but in other writers of the time....[for example, Josephus...]

I dont think he was here for that reason. So I dont think he had sex. Therfore it doesnt mention it in the bible.
