Yes it is possible but not likely.
Find a stray cat and tie it to a tree and see what happens.

Hi, I live in Wyoming and we have alot of mountain lions, one of their favorite food is family pets. Number one because they are easy to catch. They are not afraid of humans and they sometimes will try to catch a small child there were a couple of children that were dragged away and chewed up pretty bad before the parents even knew they were gone. Mountain Lions will run from an adult if a enough noise is made. But a little dog on a screen porch is a sitting duck. Don't leave it there alone. I wouldn't even let go outside alone... sherri.

Scientifically the lion would probably smell all the human scent and remain far away.
Realistically and from personal experience, I lived in cougar country and had a neighbor get stalked by a lion. It was so close by the time he saw it, he shot it and hit it through the eye! So if it were my dog, there's no way in the WORLD I would leave her alone on my porch, screen or no. I would also be carrying a gun with me anytime I walked her.

Likely not but you can take some precautions. As nasty as it sounds you could Urinate around the outside of the porch (I assume you live in the country) to mark your territory. The cat will be afraid of humans. You can also take hair from the barber and sprinkle it around the outside of the screened porch.
Probably though the cat is afraid of your Dog already. A Bear will usually run away from the smallest dog. Dont underestimate the power of the Bark.

Mountain Lions are supposed to be naturally wary of humans and keep their distance from most homes. Unfortunately recently we have started to edge more and more into the rural areas that were once their home. As we have done this they have become more and more used to humans and more prone to attack. I would research your area in specific and find out if there have been alot of documented attacks or stalkings. Immediately though, better safe than sorry; dont leave her/him out there on that porch alone.

Considering the locale, I kinda doubt that a mountain lion would be THAT desperate to do such a thing. Cats are opportunists; and breaking & entering is usually not their style.
