Go somewhere in the daylight, pitch yourself a little area, a blanket, light, snacks, drinks, radio, a friend, stay right in that place as day turns to night, take along a notebook and pen, record everything you think is relevant as the scene changes, you can even draw your surrounding area, write down your feelings as it slips into dusk, then into nightfall, try to record it all, you'll need an exact record. Make sure "the friend" you bring is someone you really trust, not someone who'll tease you why you're going through this. All you can do is try it, you'll have somewhere to start working on the problem.GOOD LUCK.LATER

Unless you confront your fear, it will not subside.

If you are insecure about what is IN the dark, then that is another issue, depending on whether or not you are sleeping outside (in the woods, or in the ghetto)

Just find out what all of the sounds are that spook you, and you will not be scared of them, and if it is just the fear that something will come out from your closet/under your bed, then look at them, this is not Monsters Inc./Little Monsters, and nothing supernatural will be coming in from either of these locations.

You have nothing to fear.

In the Bible it says, the if you call on the name of the Lord, then he will answer. (may not be audible, but he will) He will calm you down, just trust that he will, believe that he can do this, and all will be okay.

I hope that this has helped you, and that you will find the strength to confront this, and put it behind you.

Dont worry This isint a thing only you feel alot of people are afraid of the dark so dont feel bad , but heres some ways i think you can do to face your fear , try sitting in your room with your lights off and stay there for a few minutes in the pitch black , and just have a flashlight next to you if you get to scared turn it on and run to your light and turn it back on , but dont worry nothing will happen to you just remeber theres nothing to be afraid of nothing will happen to you just dont think about it freaking yourself outt :)

at one point, I was afraid of the dark. I sat in the dark and told myself it wasn't scary. once your eyes adjust to the dark, you can kind of see. you just have to get past the first initial adjustment time. I did similar with scary movies. just told myself, they're all fake. that's just not possible in real life. now I can see how they set things up to make the scenes.

You have ntohing to be afraid of. Just remember what you cant see, the other things or people you fear... cant see either. So dont worry. Everyone is afriad of the dark, they just dont admit it.

Talk to a Therapist, some one or some thing frightened you.. talk it out, find out what it was, if you don't already know..and get it behind you..meanwhile use a night light or a 15 watt lamp light..good luck..
