Step back and look around, you will go through more friendships then you will cars in a lifetime. Take a back seat, look elsewhere, or just be patient and watch what happens. Their friendships will come and go also. So you might still have a good chance, if this doesn't work out. Hang in there, I am a firm believer in for everyone there is a soul mate. Keep possitive, don't be too quick to shut anyone out.
