Numbers of Medical doctors in India

My, very large because of the population and the varying definitions for medical doctors because of "caste" customs still in effect in some locales. The number ranges from estimated 2.5 million to 14 million. Some are not formally licensed, you know, and advise or examine rather than practice. Many issues, many facets, very hard to give hard numbers. I believe that the national government usually works with the number of six million but only for reporting purposes as to the United Nations and international medical organizations.

dont know exactly but every year 18000 students clear medical & become doctors

maybe close to none since all of them are here in US.
