I will either be burnt or turn into worm food.

Death is the end for all of us (believers or not), there is no afterlife, no reincarnation NOTHING

If you look at the basic chemical composition of your body and contents, it is no different from any other living creatures - only the volume and the mix. "Dust thou art and unto dust thou shalt return!" Whether you are buried or cremated, the end result is the same except for the time taken and the effect of heat on the elements. Subsequently this gets recycled into other forms of life - vegetable, animal or mineral. In this sense we are reincarnated perhaps some parts into a worm, other parts into plants etc. I am not an Atheist. Whether we are or not is an act of faith and hope. You will not get and answer from either camps because there is no way to know. Hedge your bets, live wisely and you will get a "Heads I win, tail you loose!" Good Luck

I will die. My body will either be buried or cremated (haven't decided which.) The energy and nutrients stored in my body will either go to replenish the soil or will be largely converted into heat. That is all.

A subtle part of your consciousness will continue. Your consciousness will be thrown back to where it came and if you have lived a life totally out of touch with this part of your life you will be confused and probably enter the first body that comes along. Maybe a cockroach. ;-)

If you have a sense of peace and love you will be patient and recognize a human body and you will enter that.

Don't hold me to this though ok? ;-)

I think that you just go back to the same state that you were in before you were born. It's just nothingness. You don't go anywhere, your body just shuts down and gets recycled back into life.

When I die I cease to exist. There will be nothing, as in no darkness, no noise, no awareness. It will be gone. I will not experience.. I will not be me anymore.

I simply stop existing. I have a will that ensures that my body will be cremated.
