Actually If I played the guitar I would use my lefthand also. Just something I was always curious about. Thank You.

I don't think I am considered ambidextrious because I don't use both hands for all things. For instance I cannot write my name with my right hand.

Yep, I'd say you're a latent ambidextrous, but your right/left brain are being specialized for certain tasks as you see fit and as time goes by. Your writing may have been set in place (hard-wired into the neurons) before your other neurons were set into concrete in a right-handed world, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Most of the ambi's I've known are highly intelligent.

It's probably more important that you don't confuse "was" and "saw" when you read. If you've got this reading stuff down, go ahead and have fun. Flexibility with your brain hemispheres will be a very handy attribute should you ever end up with an arm in a cast...(pun intended)...

I know an "ambi" who can play a guitar either way, equally well, but he writes left-handed and throws a football right-handed. Go figure....

Not everything is left or right, black or white, right or wrong, or even in-between.

Ambidextrous basically means efficient use of both hands! Which is what yo are able to do. Most left-handed people are identified by the hand they use to write, that being the easiest thing to notice. But that is not the deciding factor. Playing a guitar left handed is as good as any.

Final verdict: You are Ambidextrous! :)

I've always been considered left-handed. That was determined in kindergarten, when I learned how to spell. I do everything else right-handed. I have grown up in a right-handed world. I've adapted.
Everyone in my family is right-handed, so I am all alone. I remember a kid in my grade was forced to use his right hand, he had to wear a brace to force him to use his right hand, and they would smack his hands when he would use his left hand. It screwed him up for the rest of his life, mentally. Parents would sue if they did those things today.
I think they left me alone, because instead of twisting my hand, writing upside down, I simply slant the paper when writing. Glad they left me alone..
