That wont make them go away.
They will still be there.

We can cover them up---but THE GOD still sees them!

Right, and it's not a "could we", it's "who didn't". Many interpretations of the bible are made. King James is the MOST accepted one, BUT it does not mean it has not been tampered with. It has a LOT of differences with the Dead Sea Scrolls, which is an old old copy of the bible. SO in comparison we can see where it has changed. And THAT'S ONLY what we know so far, there can be many other scrolls out there that can be older, or better yet, another language. THE ORIGINAL bible ISN'T in English, it was in Hebrew, then in Greek, and then etc. Translators back then aren't what you call "ethical", so they could've went "eh, I don't know what this is, so I'm gonna make it up" OR a political leader could've sided with the church and the church can rewrite a small portion and viola.

People are doing the SAME THING NOW! Cult leaders ARE rewriting the bible in THEIR favor. It's not uncommon.

Since the bible is the word of God you can't do that specially because some parts of the Bible we don't understand because we don't need it at the time but, if you need help or have any question open it wherever just open it and you always find the answer. I do that sometimes and every time I read what need I keep liking it. And also sometimes I said why am I reading these if the words don't go accordingly to my problem and after that I meditate the part I red and find answer. I like it all.

You can't pick and choose what you like and don't like from the bible. You either take it all or throw out the whole bible. The point is, if you pick and choose what you like from the bible and ignore the rest, then there isn't any credibility in the bible. How do you know that the verses that you like have any merit? You might as well make up your own religion if you are going to do that.

Sure, you could do that...however, when you are in need of an answer, and you go to the Bible for it, you won't see it because you marked it out....as for the highlighting....that is for what stands out to us at that exact moment....several days, weeks, months, or years later you might see something different that you didn't see the first time you read the passage. God speaks to us through His word, if you choose to ignore it then you will miss out on the blessing.

I'm not religious, but I don't think rubbing white-out over verses in the Bible is a good idea. Regardless of a person's belief, the Bible is still holy in others' eyes. Ignoring it is better than "vandalizing" it. I don't know - just my opinion.

Hello WhyAskWhy

Catholiocs and Protestants have already done that.....They do the very same thing which you said...... Jesus said: Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

In both cases the Catholic and Protestants say he did.

Jesus was born in the month of October. Jesus was three nights and three day's in the tomb.....The Protestants and Catholics tell us that He was in the tomb from Friday Sundown until Sunday Sunrise, that is two nights and one day..... Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

The Catholics and Protestants keep Sunday for Saturday....The Catholic tell the truth about it. They know that Saturday is the Sabbath and laugh at the Protestants for keeping Sunday.
Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Society (1975), Chicago, Illinois.
"Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts:
"1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them in the eyes of every thinking man.
"2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Besides the Bible, we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages and a thousand other laws.
"It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible."

Stultifies:
Prove to be of unsound mind or demonstrate someone's incompetence.
To make someone or something appear absurd, foolish, contradictory, etc.
To cause something to be useless, worthless, futile, etc.

There is no ever burnning hell. No man other than Jesus has ever asscended to heaven. There is no way of knowing how many wise men there were.....The list goes on and on.....Have a good day

Could . But then you would be breaking the law of GOD about not changing a single word of the bible there are consequence for doing that . Just ask the people who have done that . either those that did it to get their own way or those that did it out of ignorance.

You can if you want - its an inanimate object - a book - paper and ink and glue. It doesn't have magical power. Its not a person or a god. It can't hurt or heal you. You can't offend it. It won't bleed if you cut it. It doesn't protest if you burn it. It gets wet if you put it out in the rain. You can destroy it with fire.
The wisdom it provides will survive anything you do to the object. The truth is the truth regardless of how you mistreat it.

I viewed the questions that you have asked in the past.I couldn't help but notice that you were trying to get out of paying a debt owed.Looks like your trying to do the same thing with God.You don't want to give God what is due Him.That's sad . I pray He grants you mercy , you need it.You might get by with the collection agency but there's a day coming and you better hope this debt gets paid.Jesus will pay it for you if you will just let Him.

True enough. We can, mentally ignore the "hard" passages, or use ink to white them out. God granted us free will. But we will lose out on many blessing, and maybe even lose our eternal souls in the process. It's always your call.
