I always wondered what's the right thing to do when it comes to friendship.

Like uh is it ok to ask a friend if you can come over for a chat or dinner? If they say no you'll accept that.

Um what else. Anything else you can think of that's a do and a don't.

Thanks ya'll!

Well you'll have to accept the no cause they obviously have a reason for not being able to coming over. Otherwise they would. And when they do sometimes they can stay for chat and dinner, but make it clear that when they do stay over that if its just for chat or if its just for dinner or both chat and dinner. Learn to accept the No's. It's apart of friendship's cause you are not the only friend in their life.

Friendship means never having to ask if you can come over to Dinner, it is expected.

The difference between Friends and Best Friends, is that a Friend will ask if they could get something to snack on....Best Friends just raid the refrigerator.

I wish I could help you, but friendship doesn't come with a rule book. You have to work it out on a case by case basis, and the rules might even vary between one of your friends, and another.

That being said, I think asking someone else to provide you dinner seems a bit iffy, unless you are in need, but that need should be made clear before hand.

Go ahead and ask if you can stop by for a chat, but NEVER invite yourself to dinner.

This is an issue to discuss with the friend in question.

If he's your friend there will be an unspoken understanding that you will meet up. If you need to ask, then you are not that close. Then forget it.

You ask them to dinner not ask yourself to their place. Whatever they would do for you - you do for them.
