It is mounted around the steering column, There is a proceedure when using it the first time. You must turn the signal left and then right, Do not ask me why, Some of Fords idea

Should be near the steering colum..yellow in color.. remove the 4 7mm screws, and look for a square box with a connector whose bottom is red If it's like most rangers/explorers and the such

Should be in the fuse box mounted on the firewall above your left foot. If not, check the engine compartment for a fuse box above the driver's side front wheel well.

Under the dash and to the left of the steering column.It's usually fasted behind a bunch of junk so if it works at all,turn it on so you can find it easier.
