I have tried the following site,

but all i get is some (strange) programming language on the screen, and that's it....how can i down load it successfully?

You were probably seeing raw PHP or ASP script in the browser window. This might have meant that www.adobe.com was having some temporary dificulty or doing some maintenance or something like that.
Go back and try again.
