Satanist_highschoolchick,
I would say that there WILL be. Not that there is now. But I propose this: What is balance to the things we don't understand?

That is: Just because we would call something balance, doesn't mean that it's balanced.

I doubt very mush that this world is balanced. I believe that it is dying along with the rest of us. Going to meet an end like the rest of us. It will pass away.

Is that balance? Or is it because it's out of balance? We can know when the time comes. Our spirits are eternal, of that I am taught to believe, and I have complied.

There is balance in everything. It only sometimes appears that there is not, but that is just in the short run. The Universe is based on balance and the form in which balance is best expressed is a sphere. That is the shape of the Universe.

There often is a balance found in many aspects of life. How could there be good without evil, beauty without plainness, genius without dullness, or education without ignorance.

Should there be balance? Not necessarily. Many would prefer to see good outweigh evil, education outweigh ignorance, etc. Scales tip back and forth across cultures and times. Turning what is evident into something that "should" be is fallacious logic.

How would we determine how something "should" be without some absolute determination of truth that comes from some source beyond humanity, or the predominance of human opinion? Should is a tough word to lay on people or even ask about. Still it seems hard, or impossible to avoid. I believe their is a natural law because there is a Law-Giver. We "should" do as the "Law-Giver" wishes. The natural law seems to promote sacrifice for the group, helping the needy, playing fair, returning favors, etc. So, in short, no, I don't think we should seek balance but rather improvement.

In Buddism there is the teaching of moderation. And there are two views of balance in Buddism and that is a little done often or the second view a lot at once then a span of time before done again. I am not Buddist but it is some good knowledge to have.
Balance is just a limit we set for ourselves

I believe it was Freud who said that the mind is in an inexorable race for balance, constantly.

That basically means, yes.. there should be a balance in everything, otherwise our minds aren't comfortable, we feel uneasy, and we try to find a way to balance it or control it. In example, when ppl feel out of control in one area of their lives, sometimes they became anorexic in order to control another part of their lives. It's logical, although it's not healthy or mentally sound. We constantly strive to balance.

Yes, after a very long time, things tend to a NATURAL balance. But this is only after a very long time. Sometimes, longer than a lifetime.
