as long as there are not any signs of freezer burn, and it does not have a funny smell it should be okay. The hole could have happened in your freezer...

A trick my butcher instructed me approximately use freezer storage baggage with a seal and fill a sink with water positioned baggage interior the water as much as the seal . The water will push all the air out and you would be able to seal them at the same time as nonetheless interior the water. shop my meat from getting freezer burn. I do wrap the beef in a solid high quality stretch wrap from a huge warehouse keep previously putting it interior the dishevelled.

yeah, it should still be good to eat. maybe a bit freezerburnt, but no bacteria can grow in the freezer to the point where they can be dangerous unless the meat has been defrosted and refrozen.
if the hole in the plastic came after roast was put in freezer, no prob to roast it up and enjoy.

It should be good cos it has been in the fridge under freezing condition. Anyway , is your plastic wrap suppose to be air-tight ? If not, then it is equally the same as having a hole in it. But if your initial wrapping requires it to be air tight, then I suggest you don't consume it cos gems may have already attacked the meat.

Trim off any parts that look freezer burned. Marinate it for a couple of hours...Italian dressing does wonders. Braise and Roast...call me when it is ready... :-b Seriously. If you do freeze foods, a vacuum sealer is a good investment.

It's probably still "good", but will most likely have absorbed all the smells from the freezer and taste bad.

If it appears freezer burned I would not use it. Otherwise it's fine.
