Be patient, he won't be three forever. I have a three year old son too, he too gets distracted easily and seems to forget what he has already learned. Just keep at it, don't slack on your end, and it will pay off. I hope. ;)

As u can already see children have a short attention span for old things. Always do something different because believe it or not the majority of it will stick with him. A childs brain is like a sponge at this age and he will remember a lot of it just don't try to drill it to him like he is an adult. He already pretty much knows whats going on. Refresh him after about a week of doing new things he'll prove that to you himself. And kudos to you for being such a good parent and teaching your young son so early a lot of parents leave it up to the schools

Play with him. Take him to the park, art museum, zoo, library, read to him. It sounds like he's getting bored, but is very bright. That's how it is with kids. Work puzzles with him, play games like checkers or simple card games, War or Fish. Or even teach him chess. Play catch, jump rope, skate. Draw pictures, crayons, watercolors, there's no end to it. Visit a Montessori school for ideas.

First, don't push him. If he gets stressed out he's only going to get worse. You can't expect him to concentrate on something for any lenght of time, he's still only 3. If it interests him to learn it, he'll give it more time, but if he's bored he'll want to move on to something more fun. He may just need to be challenged, try teaching him something a little above his level. Be patient, he's still young, he'll improve I promise!

Turn off the T.V.!!!!!!
Any image on T.V. lasts for no more than 3-4 seconds!!
This will decrease attention span and concentration in ANYONE!!!!
Check it out and see for yourself.
Good luck, child rearing is not easy!!

He is just 3 dear, dny panick.... n dnt force him in anything, he will get bored n wnt do wat u say, instead he will do the reverse of wat u say. U can smash almonds n boil it in his milk every day. U can as well give him lots of fruits... Its important at this age n its good for him. Try the almonds n keep giving him as long as he grows.

PS: U try to be tender to him wen u teach him, i do that with my 2 1/2 doll n it works.

He's three he is exploring with different ways. You can sit with him and do the activity with him and slowly explain to him how it is done, and then after wards let him show you how it is done, and then day by day keep asking him to show how he did it.
