To place it into a spiritual context: Everytime time someone accepts Christ as their savior, Christ returns and bounds Satan for eternity. Revelations has to be taken in context of when it was written, the Christians had it pretty bad then (many were living in the main religous centers of Rome in Asia Minor) and they needed a message of hope, and that's what Revelations is: No matter how bad things get, if you have faith in God, then you will prevail.
I blame Hal Lindsey for the misinterpretation that we are in the "last days." The early Christians thought they were about 2,000 years ago, and I'll suspect that it'll continue for another 2,000 more.

The "end times" --- or "end of days" --- is a total fantasy "event" concocted by a bunch of rather sick egomaniacs who simply can't accept the fact that the universe, which has been here for over 14 billion years, is going to continue on just fine without them when they themselves die, and for BILLIONS of years more. Sad and pathetic creatures these people are, and if they didn't go around scamming, fooling, and scaring tne bejesus out of so many innocent people I might even feel SORRY for the S.O.B.s!

I'll only worry about it if the United Nations moves it's offices to Hillal, Iraq where Babylon once stood, about 60 miles southwest of Baghdad.
Otherwise, I'll just try to please God and do the best I can.
Now, the "end of days as we know it?" Isn't that always true?

that depends. people do believe that they are in the end times if they are directly inside the equation of: war, famine, disease outbreak... but how many of these people died praying to god? hoping for salvation which they never were given?
and christians will easily say to the cassualty, god took them to heaven to prevent them from suffering further?

The re-establishment of the state of Israel and events in the middle east lead me to believe it is very likely.

People have been thinking this for all time; there have ALWAYS been what are called "doomsday cults."
Most people who were alive when Yeshua was and accepted him as the Messiah thought that he was returning IN THEIR LIFETIME. Christians have been waiting and re-reading the prophesies over and over since then.
