Real dandruff is not flaky scalp, it's a yellowish crust like cradle cap. That requires a prescription from a dermitologist. You may want to have your thyroid checked if you are having dry scalp and hair loss. They are both symptoms. Head & Shoulders is one of the worst shampoos. Just use a clarifying shampoo and good oil treatments for conditioning.

Nizoral is suppose to be good for some types of hair loss as well as dandruff. Have you seen a doctor to determine type of hair loss. Also rogaine helps sometimes too depending on the type hair loss you have but be careful. I have heard of people who lost more hair using it.

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .

You should probably talk to a pro stylist. They usually know about stuff like that.
