"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." (James 5:16)

"Elijah was a man just like us, and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the ground for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and heaven sent rain, and the ground produced its crops." (James 5:17-18)

Remember a while back when they did the "Faith Experiment" in which they had an enormously scaled trial to see how prayer affected people? They had a ton of people wth identical illnesses and conditions participate, and secretly had large congregations pray for one group, had large congregations pray publicly for another group, and no prayer for the third. Guess what happened? The third group had a much better recovery rate, almost 30% above the other two groups. Next was the secret group, followed by the people who knew they were being prayed for. So in that case, prayer actually hurt (or simply didnt help) anything. Most people speculate that the results are because the people who knew they were being prayed for felt they had God on their side, and when things didnt immediately turn positive, they gave up learning that maybe- just maybe- God wasnt magically healing them. So lesson is that if you start relying on prayer or assuming its your fate/disposition to fail, youre screwed. Instead, spend the time working harder towards the test knowing that you- and only you- die your best, without some divine hand taking credit for your hard work.

Fate= nothing!
God= an imaginatory idea, who never takes revenge or complains, when you blame him for all wrong reasons, which are actually your own faults!

So, if god does not exist, Prayer to god is also waste of time!

So look at why things are not going right in your life instead of blaming it on God and fate!

& try to rectify them!
You will have a better life!

All the best

No, a SIMPLE prayer cannot change.

God does not reside outside you in a far away place: He is inside you: Inside me: He is everywhere.

So a SINCERE prayer is nothing but a self suggestion to your innner Self, to put in your efforts to change whatever you want to change in your life.

Some times even such a sincere prayers will not get you, fully what you want. Instead, the prayer by that time would have given you enough strength to understand that, everything is not changeble, but you must continue to live without bothering about that failure.

In Hindu philosophy it is mentioned as, "work, but don't look to the fruits of your work". That way, you will be able to accept failures as normal happeneings, and maintain your balance and calmness under any circumstances.

If you believe in God you shouldn't believe in fate. Fate takes out the idea of us choosing our own path; and, thus takes our free will. However payer can help your life and help make decisions. when unsure of something, whether or not you believe you'll get a response; prayer will at the very least give you clarity to makes decisions. f it's about something bad that happened, at the very least it will comfort. However God does listen, and will do what ever is best for us even though we may not see it.

"Fate", as you call it, is developed, written and completed by God.

Prayer is asking the developer, writer and fulfiller of all things to take your request into consideration.

Beyond this, you need to twist time as we know it into some sort of infinite corkscrew to see that today was planned by God before the beginning of time. Today also includes our prayers. It's all part of His plan, but it's your choice to participate. Noodle hurt yet?

I believe that God knows far more than I ever will, so I accept that there are truths that I cannot realize. Thank God that I have an eternity to learn.

Fate is predestination. Fate is also a pagan god. Prayer changes nothing.

Prayer will certainly give u the immense courage to face any crisis. Not simple prayers. You should sacrifice something for God atleast temporarily.

There is a good saying "Prayers wont move mountain for you but will make your climbing less tiresome" Prayers bring in you the strength to face the difficult situations.

No. this has been proved when the hostages were taken in Iraq. Millions of people worldwide prayed for their safe release but they were still beheaded.
This indicates that god is on the side of the kidnappers or prayer doesn't work.
Which one do you think?
