Why are so many non christians such christian bashers? This is a real question. Please tell me your experience of what has happended so badly to make you hate a whole religion of people. In my opinion it is the same as hating a whole race because of something that one person did to me. I don't get it. Please serious answers only.
I am coming from a real curious place in my heart to you. I really want the truth and not more anger please.

Wonder Weirdo- Those boys were not true christians. That is against everything God would have them do.
Another thing I am noticing is harly anyone can say what a christian has personally done to them. With some exceptions.
I don not think I am ignorant in any way. I didn't find christ until I was 27. I was searching for the truth for many years.
I did find this.
Many people are bad. But not the group they belong to.
Or else I would hate all men. I have been dealt some horrible blows by men in my life, first by my father when he left me at 4 years old not to see him again until I was 9. And then only becuase my mom made him.
Sometimes it makes me really sad to see so many angry people.
You are here on earth for such a short time.
I do understand not knowing what to believe. But I choose to beleive the thing I found that made so much since and gave me peace in my life for the first time. It allowed me to forgive my mother from all the abuse I received.

It allowed me to forgive my father for abuse he did to me when I was 9. And allowed me to forgive my mother for allowing him to take me for the year it happened. I can list so many things I heald on to for many years.
Without christ I would have ended up killing myself.
I was a very depressed person. I went through a long period of abusing myself with substances. Form 9 years old until I was 18years old. Alot of it too. I should by all rights have o.d.'d or got aids or something. But nothing. No OD.
I do feel like he was looking out for me.
5 years ago when they found a huge tumor that was growing quickly and had doubled in size from the time they gave me an ultrasound to the time they gave me an MRI.
And after getting prayed over at church on sunday , went back in on monday for presurgery appt. and during that ultrasound, it had dissapeared. NO KIDDING!
My doctor couldn't explain it.
But I knew what had happened.
I would be a hypocrite if I didn't believe I feel.

1) Christianity cast the first stone in the bashing war between them and the Muslims. The Christians bashed Muslims out of ignorance while most Muslims will bash Christians with facts.
2) My grandparents were murdered by Roman Catholic Christians who administered passive involuntary euthanasia (which is against all Christian teachings). The murderers were my own mother, my aunts and uncles.
3) The murderers of my grandparents took my rightful inheritance by sheer technicality of the Christian laws governing the land I lived in. The lawyers those hypocrites hired were Catholics.
4) I went to every Roman Catholic and Born-again Christian group to help me fight the injustice inflicted on my grandparents and myself....no one lifted a finger against my "family" because they were influential people of the community who controlled the mayor, the police....everyone.
5) Most Christians I encountered only took my money, played around with my feelings and even tried to sexually harass me (a Christian pastor tried to harass me and I punched his lights out).
6) The only people who really helped me out of my sorrow and despair and showed me the true way to peace and God were the Muslims.
7) This war's not going to end until Christians learn to owe up and apologize for their atrocities and get down from their perceived spiritual high horse before they fall off it and land on their @$$
The Muslims who helped me taught me not to hate people....just their ignorance and to answer ignorance with truth. Even if it p-i-s-s-e-s off the ignorant. I really don't enjoy war or discord. But I can't turn a blind eye to injustice and hypocrisy.
End of Story.

I had a bad religious experience as a child being taught to hate people who did not believe the same things. I eventually came to see how socially divisive religion was and how easily it can be used by evil men for their own purposes as we see today in the Middle East with the fundementalist Christians, Muslims and Jews making a hell on earth for everyone else.

I hate religion in general. I hate the fact that many religious organizations in this country preach love and helping others and then spend more money fighting gay rights then they do helping feed the poor. I hate that they are trying to infringe upon my freedoms. I hate that they fight most major breakthroughs in science. I hate that they cause people to not think for themselves. I think religion in general has done way more bad than good in our history, and I think its very sad that so many people are content with their ignorance to what is actually going on in our world.

Why does resisting the efforts of an intolerant, self-righteous group of people who believe that their interpretation fo God's plan supercedes my God-granted right to live my life the way I see fit automatically make me a hater?
I'm willing to tolerant any Christian--in fact I admire any religious person whose faith helps them to be a compassionate, positive person who is at peace with themself and the world he lives in--but the expectation is that in return, they tolerate* me.
*by tolerate, I don't mean they have to endorse, support, aid, or defend my beliefs or life-choices, ONLY that they acknowledge my inherent right to have those beliefs or make those choices, and do not use their religion to interefere with or undermine those choices.

Because you tell such vile lies that you drive many LGBT children to suicide or to be killed by bigots using your sermons as vindication. And those who die are generally the bravest and brightest in America. They can understand science and use it for the betterment of mankind rather than try to gain followers by lying about science facts.

"The only religion I hate is the terrorists religion. Their God is NOT MY God."
With that kind of overflowing love you have for other faiths, it's no wonder that you lead such a healthy and productive life.

Hating a race is prejudice. Hating a religion is hating a mass group of people who tend to think and do very similar things. For starters, repression of science, that has always burned me up. Second, them bashing, and commiting crimes against other religions, theres no justification for bashing, but bashing christians is retaliation. Third, its just the asanine doctorines and self-contraditing nonsense. Forth, the christian political corruption, crimes done against all non-dougebags.

You tell me that I am going to hell. You don't even know me, you don't know my morals, my ethics, my capacity for charity to my fellow man, or my responsibilities for my wife and children. Yet in your eyes I'm worthy of a life of torment and despair in hell.
Now why would I take that personally? Wouldn't you take it personally if I told you that I truly believe you should go to hell because you do not agree with my beliefs?

Previous post:
Because many xians are trying everyday to have their agenda pushed down my throat. To ban abortion, morning-after pills, HPV vaccinations, gay rights, etc... So they have lost their immunity from criticism and ridicule (if they ever had one which the crusades and inquisition would preclude).
And it p**** me off when they tell some woman in the pregnancy section who asks if abortion is an option that god gave her that baby. It ENRAGES me to read that shite. What about the women who can't get pregnant? What about those who need expensive and extensive medical intervention to get pregnant? That is highly insulting, condescending, and idiotic. So I vent my spleen at those xians, yes.
