You type pretty well for someone whose hands are shaking.
If you are really having a panic attack it will have to pass. You can read responses here to try to pass time. It seems like forever but it will pass. Try taking some deep breaths. Try to focus on being rational. Nothing is really going to happen. If this is a recurrent problem, see a doctor or therapist.

I have had these off and on for over forty-three years. The single most important thing to remember during a panic attack is that while it is VERY REAL the physical and/or mental consequence of it will NOT be as dire as you now --- during the attack, that is --- think it will be. PANIC is the greatest mimic on earth, and that is why it is so very terribly and exhaustingly frightening, but it is still a mimic and NOT the "real thing" --- as in a heart attack (which I've had, and believe me, it's COMPLETELY different), or feeling like going insane --- so it CAN'T do to you what you THINK it can. As always, DURING a panic attack we feel it's"the end of the world", but when it's over we realize we're still alive and we're not in a locked ward, thank goodness. YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN YOUR PANIC ATTACKS; THERE ARE MANY OF US OUT HERE HAVING --- AND SURVIVING --- THEM WITH YOU!

I get anxiety attacks frequently. I only had one panic/psychotic attack/episode.It was a med I was on that made me have it. Being around people and being stimulated outside of myself helped me get out of it. I felt so trapped inside myself, and I was driving a million miles an hour because I was afraid the dark was going to consume me from behind. For now try getting Melatonin at your local drug store, it'll help you get to sleep gently (it's an herb). I would also see someone about it. I have a prescription for a very low-dose anti-anxiety that helps a lot. Turn on all the lights and make it really bright, that really really really seems to help me. I'm sorry I can't help you any more. You certainly have my sympathy!

Try to stay calm, get washcloth cool water on it,wash face, hands and inside of wrists, drink some water, take a deep breathe, stop thinking about the attack, after all it won't kill you(you may feel like it) but it won't think of something pleasant,do some push-ups.Try not to get any more hysterical. I prayed for you ,hope it has subsided.

God bless you. I know what these feel like. First please pay attention to me. Everything is alright. Nothing is gonna happen to you. Go to this site http://www.branham.org & just listen to the sound of Bro.Branhams voice. I am a firm believer in God & these attacks are not of God ok. I found something out about me. If my potassium-magnesium-chloride- or sodium levels get just one number below normal I have these attacks & bad headaches. Get your levels tested & make them give you a copy of the results. If your level is just one or 2 below normal the doctor sometimes will tell you they are normal even if they are slightly low. They have done this to me. Another way that helps with these attacks is exercise. Just please remember you are not alone. Even if you are a sinner, when you feel these coming on silently in your mind say "Dear God dont let me panick" & watch how he comes in quickly to help you. God bless you & email me any time you need to. YOU ARE GONNA BE FINE IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST !!!!!!!

Do you have any valium (diazapam)? If so, take about ten mg (two of the little yellow pills)
If not, and you're not on any SSRIs or MAOIs, go to a convenience-store, buy one beer--not a six-pack--and drink it when you get home.
Also, close your eyes, and think about what is triggering the attacks. Teh first step to stopping them, is figuring out what is setting your nerves on edge.

I've had these myself. Breathe. Take a cold, damp rag and put it on your pressure points (inner wrists, neck) and forehead. Lie down for a few minutes if you can. Find a point on the wall or ceiling and stare at it. Try to think of positive things, even though it's hard to think of any right now. Think "heart slow down...beat...slow...beat...slow..." (I know it's weird, but it sometimes helps to try to slow your heart rate down.)
Feel better!

don't think too much! divert your mind with something soothing (like a beautiful scenery... an ocean, a blue sea, etc...)or think of something that made you laugh, ... or count 1 to 10 and in each count, make a deep breath (example: 1 inhale, exhale, 2...).
