"Blind" or "Deaf", which would you be... This question was asked of me about 15 years ago at a "rock" concert I was attending. P.S. This was asked by a total stranger, and it has always fascinated me. It took me about 5 seconds to answer him..."Blind" was my response, because I couldn't live in a world with-out music!

I just wanted to add, over a period of about 12 years that, "I" have asked strangers(everywhere,every place)this question...the response has been 98% would be "Deaf" and 2% would be "Blind". And just a footnote to "here_come", you are absolutely correct (IMO). Women are "audio" and Men are "visual". But each person that answers this question...immediately know the reasons behind their answer...no and's if's or but's! XOXO Moon

I just wanted to thank everyone in advance for sharing something that I think is, kind of "personal", even though this is through an on-line venue...it does make one think(or at least it's been on my mind for quite awhile! LOL!)about different aspects and opinions about life.

I choose deaf....I read a study once that women are stimulated by sounds and men by visual stimuli so its going to be interesting how everyone answers...The reason I choose deaf is I want to se my kids accomplish everything in life not be told about it.....

Blind. I play 10 different instruments and I sing. I could not imagine being completely deaf.

Deaf, I'm already 1/2 way there, and can read lips...so I'm used to the hearing problems anyway.

Deaf, I couldn't bear not seeing my children and husband again. The music in my head would get me through, but I'd fear the pictures would fade.

I say I would have to go deaf because I already can't hear good and I have to see who I'm talking to.

I would be deaf because i could learn sign language...and yeha still talk to people.
