You mean just some random guy called you honey, and your boyfriend doesn't even call you that? I think that's what you meant.
Depends on the guy. Who is he to you? I get called 'honey' at work by male coworkers all the time, but they don't mean anything by it. We are like a family, and all call each other by terms of endearment. If it were a guy I liked, it would have me wondering.
If it were a boss type guy I'd say he was a jerk (even though my boss calls me that - and beyotch and whatever else he thinks of, but hell, I've known and worked with or for him since 1989, he can get away with it).
Depends on the guy or situation. That's a pretty vague term. Unless he calls you sugar britches or hot mama, you have to find out on your own what he meant.

back in the day men were allowed to call females Honey or sweetie and not get this type of question, to me is just a another name for a girl, lady, women.
