Christians are the proof of evolution. They are just egotistical chimpanzees.

Why do Atheists think that science can discount the influence of something that is omnipotent, omniscient, prescient and intelligent?
Science should never be called upon to validate faith. Because if religion made perfect sense, then what would you have to believe in?
Likewise religion would put a crippling bias into science (and probably lead to a purge even stalin had wet-dreams about.). Because it would taint the outcome of statistical analysis with a preconcieved notion.
So neither can prove or disprove the other. A scientist must be atheistic (at the very least when it comes to his mathematics.) in order to function. He coudln't win the nobel prize by making some concoction and proclaiming it would cure cancer because "God said it would.".
So why? Because people are irrational and don't realize the fallacy of logic. Scientists also, because they only admit logic, but without it, they'd never make a living.

I am a Christian Biochemist. I know both arguments backwards and forwards. 100% proof either way will never happen. We can bang our heads against the wall for years to prove either point.
Here is what Christians need to do. Win people over with love and peace that the world around them can not offer other people. It will be much more effective than arguing about 6000 years, or 6 billion years. In the long run does either number amount to anything that is important to make the world a better place.

I'm a christian and I don't insist on proof of evolution because I know you cannot provide it. It is a theory after all.
Either way creation or evolution - a step of faith must be taken.

Because we can prove Creation? Granted, it does take alittle bit of faith to completely believe the entire process of Creation. However, it takes ALOT more faith to look past all the things that prove Creationism and believe the potholed theory of evolution.
See: http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/qa.asp for the Christian side of the story.

I don't recall reading anything about Jesus Christ demanding proof for things that did not happen.
If you choose to live apart from God, that is your decision. If you come to faith in God through Jesus Christ, you might find that the beginning of the world (and the end of the world) is nothing to worry about.
Having lived without faith for years, I'm fairly confident that your faith is not restricted by the absence of explanation. I suggest that you consider that at some point you'll have to jump across a line (of faith) that leaves you (as you know you) behind - and that scares you.
I pray that you choose to make the jump. You might feel like you're falling at first, but I assure you that you will never hit the ground - for those with faith have God through Christ, and those in Christ can cast their fears to God.
May God bless you.

I dont ask for proof . God created the world and plants and animals and humans and evolution took off from there. So in other words God started evolution.

most Christians don't really insist on proof of evolution as that would require that they consider concepts outside their dogmatic myths and actually learn something. it's a whole lot easier to take it on faith that an invisible super being magicked everything into existence than to educate one's self.

That's the point silly! When you believe in a religion you have faith.
The point in believing in Evolution is that it's science, something that you can prove. If they can't prove it, then why do scientists stick by it?

Why would a true christian be interested in evolution? A true christian could point you in the right direction on proof. Start in Genesis of the bible.
