Religions don't make people hateful or ignorant. Religion is merely a tool people use to reach spiritual goals. The people who are hateful and ignorant would still be hateful and ignorant without religion. The hateful and ignorance just use religion as a shield for their own hate and ignorance. This is apparent since there other people who are also of religion who are not hateful or ignorant but instead loving and open-minded.

Religion allows people to express them selves and their relationship with God.
It's a path that is useful to many people. It often leads to a different understanding of themselves, after enough time has run it's course.
I believe religion serves it's purpose and hate and ignorance are abolished slowly but surely. Eventually humility finds itself in the heart and soul of every person. Change does come.

A person living in true faith, will not be hateful and ignorant. One of the prophecies in the Bible are about how the churches will be decieved by false teachers, and this is happening everywhere. Also man made religion, not God. The Catholic church gave itself authority to change Gods ten commandments. (No one was given that authority from God in the Bible.) Many people seem to do a good job at both of these without religion as well. I don't think this is the determining factor.

Not all religions can be lumped into being "hateful and ignorant." Yes, there are a few that are hateful, but you have to remember: Religion (not faith) is a creation of man, thus it's fallible like everything man touches. It's not the religion that is hateful, it's the people.

We should separate religion teaching with its followers.Religion teaching which is created by God with its holy books i.e Zabur,Taurat,Bible and Al Qur'an have a noble function as a life guidance for human beings.Without a life guidance,humanbeings are like animals.God gives us soul,spirit ,heart and brain/mind so humanbeings are different from animals..God wants us obey all God's instructions and God'sprohibitions.But not all of its follow- ers comply to the rules and regulations of God.Humanbeings are not perfect individually and humanbeings can be tempted by satans.So many humanbeings disobeyed God's commande-
ments.They are hateful and ignorant because of the wrong choice of individuals who select the wrong path.It is not the wrong of its religion.Religion is always good,but its followers are bad who are hateful and ignorant.God wants us to be clever and can make a prosperous society by avoiding damages and work hard in this world..God gives us freedom to do whatever we want.
So there is no mistakes of God and. its religion teaching.The mistakes lie on humanbeings themselves.So humanbeings should bear all of its consequencies..

People make there own desicions.
Hateful and ignorant? WOW. So in your mind if someone studies into something you don't believe in that makes them ignorant? I think that would make them MORE knolegable than you. Hateful? If someone is being hateful, they are not following thier religion unless they are worshipping the devil.

I think people who are hateful and ignorant will work any religion or philosophy around to their hatred and ignorance, not that any particular religion or philosophy breeds these things.
