yes... some people feel the need to wear nail polish and it is a health violation if the polish chips off onto your food... that and who knows where their hands have been....yeeewwww....

You have said what I was wondering many times when I would visit 'abroad'. I have seen this habit of touching foods by finger in so many fast food chains throughout South-East Asian countries I have visited. But it is true that these are rare incidents which catch our eyes.
While on the subject, something else also bothers me. In developed countries people are mostly seen eating food without first washing their fingers and hand. But while eating, sometimes they would need to touch the food by fingers. What amazes me is that they not only hold the food with their fingers and finishes difficult pieces (portions which are a bit hard for the fork/knife) but also licks their finger to either clean or get the residual tastes of the gravy. I think these are direct invitation for the germs (bacteria etc.) to penetrate their body.

Yeah.. Especially for soft-cream cones. I hate to see their staff touching money notes + the cashier with their bare hands, then grapped the ice-cream cones then put the paper wrappers on the cones then filled the soft cream. I always throw away the cone! Otherwise, I buy the sundae.

dont know where you live but in Arkansas they all use gloves while preparing food it is the law

They do here where I live, but they go around and touch everything in sight. We don't dine out as much anymore

yea, especially if they have a cut on their hand. # 1 cause of food poisoning = bacteria from cuts on hands.
