You can wear than as long as you want. I did and my eye dr. told me that eventually i wouldn't be able to wear them if I didn't start letting my eyes breathe!! So be careful!!

it really depends on the type, but I think most are about 12 hours, but I know so many people who wear them for like 18 hours. That could be bad, and could have the possibility to cause eye infections, and corneal ulcers. I say take them out as soon as they start feeling uncomfortable. The extended wear contacts are a different story, however.
I'd ask the doctor who prescribed the contacts.

It all depends on the type of Contact lense you use. Some lens can stay till 16 hours in your eyes. For a Normal lense it would be 8 hours.

i would not wear them more than 12 hours a day. it really depends on whether or not you care about the health of your eyes too. i personally try not to wear mine more than 12. i kinda screwed my eyes up by wearing them ALL THE TIME including sleeping in them when i first got mine. now my eye dr. says that since i wore them so much my eyes had grown extra veins to get more oxygen through them. it's not a good thing and i have a scar on each lens from the contact lenses i used to wear. i have extended wear lenses now and i still will not wear them more than 12 hours. i love my vision.

if you're brand new to it, 2 hours, then up to 4, then up to 6, then up to 8, in gradual steps.
if the lenses are not designed for overnight or extended wear, 8 to 10 hours really should be tops before giving your eyes a rest.

what do you mean? i just wear my contacts until i have to go to bed, and then i take them out. if i were wearing "focus day/night" contacts, then i'd wear them 24/7 and then throw them away at the end of the month and put new ones in.

I wear acuvue 2 for thirty days, then replace them with new ones.
Sometimes they get stuff on them and get blurry. Then I clean and soak them overnight. Been wearing for 15 years

it depends on your lenses some of them you can wear them for one day, some of them for a week, some of them for a month, so you should know which type they are

wear them until your eyes feel dry or uncomfortable, if i am on the computer for long amounts of time, i take my out, it gives your eyes a break and lets them breathe. dont wear them while you sleep either, its not good for your eyes

for however many hours you want to be able to see, you may have to take them out and do a quick wash or perhaps visine but there is no real time limit
