READERS ASK:

"what is important in life?"

=====================
SUPERBOOKS ANSWERS:
=====================

There are so many important things in life. Rather than mention every single one of them, I'll mention a few things here, that are important in life:

1. Taking care of children and teaching them that they are beautiful and they are important.

2. Watching the stars at night , at least once in a while.

3. Taking LOTS of pictures, because outside of pure memory, pictures are the way that we preserve memories the best.

4. Giving happy meal toys to young children (ones that you know , of course) .

5. Boycotting beef, wool, meat, fur and animal by-products that come from Canada, China, Australia and other overseas countries that have no animal-protection laws.

6. Eating lots of fruits, and vegetables and drinking pure fruit juices and water on a regular basis.

7. Prayer. Prayer is important. It doesn't matter which prayer you say or when you say it, just that you do say prayers.

8. Knowing the difference between love and control --as these are two very different things.

9. Drawing, painting, writing and or being creative in your own special way. USE the talent that God gave you for good purposes.

10. Standing at the ocean and just watching it. Listen to it.

11. Exercise. This is important to everyone.

12. Using your mind, over and over and over . Really think things through.

13. Paying it Forward -- If you don't know what this means, then rent the movie called, "Pay it FORWARD".

14. Watching the Oprah show (when Dr. Phil is not on it).

15. Helping over women be independent and successful .

16. NOT donating cash to the homeless men that you see on the street. Donate , instead, to the organizations that help men, women and children become independent.

17. Exploring the net , safely. Do not give personal information on the net --to anyone. You really don't know people , till you've known them a long, long , long time.

18. Buying flowers ...if not for you for someone else.

19. buying flowers for yourself.

20. Going back to school -get that GED or graduate college , and keep on getting educated.

22 . Buying flowers for children. FLowers are beautiful and so are children.

23.
Remembering the dead, often..and really being with them in your memories by remembering the happy times..the smiles..the laughter..the little in-between times, their favorite songs or songs that remind you of them .

24. ...................KNOWING that you are important to someone, and always remembering that.

25. Celebrating with people and celebrating alone also.

26. camping out -at least once in your lifetime.

27. Learning from books, and learning from people.

and there's so much more .

and it's important to know that God loves you -even if you are an atheist, God does love you.

and it's important to know that

THE THINGS IMPORTANT TO YOU ....

are very important things..so pay attention to them

and get them done or do them or begin them ..

to be continued....

To me, it's doing the best I can with what I have. Enjoying the things that give me pleasure in a small way - smelling the rose or flower I see, caring for my family, loved ones and pets. Doing the things that are important to me - like putting food on the table, knowing my friends trust me with their life, doing what is right and living by the golden rule.

I've learned over the years that instant pleasure is transient - it goes almost faster than it happens. The things I've held in my heart are the ones that have helped others, that have given me a sense of satisfaction that I've done something to improve the small world around me. You don't have to do big things to get that. It's built on a lot of little things you can do every day. I try to make people smile - brighten their day in some way.

I care for my family and others in whatever way I can. It takes a mindset to do it and it doesn't cost you anything in the process. It gives you a sense of well-being and helps increase your capacity to truly love others. It takes the focus off of yourself and moves it to where it does the most good at the moment. And it feels darn good.
