When I was a small boy, together with my grandad we painted a nice little ocean scene.. The painting was all right but the process of painting it was a moment that has always stuck and meant the world to me... Art is in my opinion not what u end up with when the paint has dried but is more about the time spent doing it...or the reflection or escape or the release... When one truly looses themselves in the process unbelievable art is created... :) GREAT question! Thanks.

When I was 18, I did an oil painting of our Singapore River with wooden bump boats and old shop houses in the background. I gave it to my "dream" girl whom I was crazy over but didn't end up marrying her. Sad.

My best painting so far has been a portrait of a figure model. He is sitting in profile in an orange shirt. A greenish black background ingulfs him but he seems to glow from an inner light. I'm really proud of this one.

It's hard for me, as an artists, to answer this because I paint in different styles. Usually, though, I consider the one I just finished my best, until I start another one.
A better question would be: What does an artist consider his/her favorite painting? Sometimes your best effort isn't your favorite. But here are three you might enjoy.
The first one is the last one I've finished:

This next one is pure abstract, but one of my favorites:

And this last one is pure surrealism, but a favorite of mine:

My kids room when they were little. I painted a cat in the hat and a simba lion on the wall.

I would have to say, I had this very cute girlfriend and when no one else was around I used to paint her toe nails, it made her feel special and I loved how she smiled when I was done.

In high school, I did a series of three cats in watercolor. I thought it was pretty photorealistic (I used the tubed watercolor that you can dilute to your own personal preference).
