Even after 10 years, cats sometimes get the urge to explore! My mother's cat is afraid of everything--and I mean everything--and he ran off once for a few days. He never left the yard either, and he is only a little younger than your cat. He did come back, though, once he got hungry! Make sure you go outside and call for your cat often, and bring her food bowl out with you--if its glass, hit it with a spoon. That seems to remind them of food.

Just in case, do put up signs and newspaper ads, as well as checking your local and not-so-local (trust me!) shelters.

Good luck! This sucks, I know...I have spent too many lifetimes, it seems, worrying about my kitties, and it has always turned out okay.

First and foremost, I am so sorry for your heartache. I have 3 indoor chiwdwens as I call them and I know how I'd feel if it were me. I live in an apartment building and the guy on the 1st floor has 2 cats. Last week one fell through the screen while sitting on the sill and got scared and ran off. He is an indoor cat. I find myself not being able to sleep thinking about all the things that could be for poor Pascoe. To help, I have gone onto all of the free local web sites and posted lost and found ads. As you can see by this post, people do pay attention. You can try craigslist in the lost and found section, your local newspaper's online classified section, as well as the oher suggestions for flyers. Go to your neighbors and put them ON their mailboxes, but not just neighbors on your street. Walk your neighborhood and see whats behind and around your block as well. Laundrymats are places people read the boards as well. I can feel your sadness, and I am truly sorry for you.
What I haven't seen here is Kitty's name. Please list it and me and my girls will pray for a safe return as we do for Pascoe.

I am so sorry. Get the word out asap. Check any new hiding places. Cats that are skittish won't go far and they normally don't go further than five houses away in any direction. If it's getting cold out, check garages, esp houses where people have been on vacation. Also check engines. Had there been any moving trucks, vans, furniture delivery when she came up missing? She may have gotten inside there and been driven off. Get flyer's out, contact local vets. Go to the Animal Control Humane Shelters. Are there any places that take in stray cats? If so, Check with them. Keep vigilant, the sooner you get the word out, with pictures etc the better. And always ID your pet, microchips aren't as expensive as you might think and well worth it if you ever lose your animal. Good luck. BTW my cat was gone for 8 hours, I had already made up fliers and posted them around the neighborhood and gone door to door handing out fliers. As it turned out he had been under our deck the whole day. Little buger, I punished him profusely with hugs and kisses, that'll teach him!

Awww you must be devastated! I understand how you feel! My cat too went missing but for my case, my neighbor kids took him and hid in their house for 2 years!!!!!
By reading your questions, I can't help to wonder if some wild animal got her. Believe it or not, sometimes coyotes or mountain lions are in the city!! There are some cases around my neighbor hood (where I live is middle of the city with no mountains! but lots of trees and bushy hills) Was she out side in the yard during evening time?? I really hope she will come back to you. Did you try to put flayers or put ads on the local papers?

That's rough. Good luck! I hope she comes back, safe and sound. Maybe she got spooked by a loud noise or other animal? Post some flyers, talk to the neighbors, call your local pound or Humane Society, or the vet. I had a cat disappear for nearly two days, and we were worried SICK until we drove around the neighborhood and found the little scamp reclining on some stranger's porch. Wow! What a relief! May you also have a happy reunion. Peace.

It sounds to me like the cat is in some discomfort. They cant inform you any opposite direction, than to save sounding off. If she in no way did this in the previous, you want to have her checked. truly if you're pregnant to be particular there is not any project that ought to damage you or your unborn toddler. i urge you to do it quickly. How is the cats stability even as strolling. At 10 yrs previous it will be a stroke.I had a cat that kept meowing and she or he changed into clinically determined with a mind tumor. From the exterior you should no longer see something different except the louder than prevalent meows from her.

Yo trend.. grow a heart w/out a buttcheek in it.
As sad as it is, theres a good chance that she was attacked by something she could not defeat. And the only other possibilities i can think of, are cruel humans thinking its funny to harm another being, or she just flat out ran off. But thats doubtful after 10 years of luvvins.
Good Luck, I hope everythings okay and things turn out well for you and her. Keep us posted!!
--i do have to agree with others comments as well, and eddween has a very true point about them knowing their time was near, my husbands cats at his mothers farm did the same & cats are masterminds at hiding when they dont feel good--

I'm sorry to hear that . I had a cat like that . She never left the yard and she hated everyone but me . I dont know why . Maybe she wanted to go off somewhere . Maybe she'll come back. Or maybe someone took her and wanted to keep her. I lost my cat for a month now. But I never give up hope. I hope that you'll find your cat. Just have faith and never give up hope.

whenever you let a pet outside, you run the risk of them getting lost. How do you know she never left the yard? Did you stand out there and watch her every movement? Each of my cats has been lost once, and each found its way back, or close enough that we found her across the street. She could have been in a fight, or gotten lost, or just went exploring. Good luck at getting her back.
