A comedian was talking about girls and how they like to get flowers and go out to dinner, etc and My bf said the reason that guys stop buying flowers, going out on dates, and doing really nice things for their girlfriends is because its too expensive. Its not like girls want flowers and stuff everyday, just every once and a while.Then I asked him why he doesn't ever tell me Im pretty or compliment me because it doesn't cost him any money. He replied I just don't feel like it. What a jerk!

Let's see, you fished for compliments by asking him to tell your your pretty -- it doesn't cost any money.
He didnt' fall for it and said he "just don't feel like it," meaning being phony and sentimental.
This is an honest boyfriend. He may even love you -- he'll tell you eventually unless you try to extort his emotions out of him as you did with the the prettiness and complements gambit.
Don't throw this guy away. What do you want? Some Casanova who will flatter you into utopia until he rips you off?!

Well he is right about the flowers and stuff , its an industry, and the dining out...it is expensive and overrated as well. Learn to make a great pizza. As for no compliments...well guys just don't do that anyway...only the needy one and believe me you don't want a needy ones. Stop looking for compliments and be confident in your own sense of self...you'll be better off and he'll appreciate you more for it..

Girl he needs to snap. Is it gonna break his wallet to get flowers every once and a while? And if so then he could always pick some wild flowers. I've done that, and they worked better than one dozen roses. He just doesn't appreciate you and he needs to realize that you might not be around forever. I mean really, how hard is it to say : I've woken up to alot of sunrises but waking up next to you has really warmed my heart, your beautiful! Thats what you need to hear. No money involved just kind words from the heart. Cancel his *** trust me.

No, your bf is full of it, and not even complimenting you is showing a lack of appreciation for you. The last time I checked admission to city parks has always $0 along with a million other things couples can do to spend QT together

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! Sure maybe we don't want flowers everyday but we'd still like them every once in awhile. Besides he could even go and pick a rose from a garden or something himself! That wouldn't cost money and we'd still like it!! And he doesn't comment you because he doesn't feel like it wtf is up with that? I don't know, I think you should get rid of this guy but that's your decision not mine. Good luck!

lol sounds wierd, i know, but i also KNOW. he might think it would make him vulnerable. he doesnt want to incourage you into being self conceited around him.
