Okay, I checked the answers to your previous question just to see what advice you have been offered.
First of all, I need some more info:
1. What is your level of expertise?
2. Outside of trying to download Limewire, what problem determination and problem solution have you tried?
3. What are you using for a browser? (tell me your OS also)
To be honest, I need a lot of info and even then it's a hard thing to try and solve a computer/software/IT problem long distance. I am going to suggest some things to try now and if they don't work, tell me that along with the other info I have already asked for.
Things to try:
1. If you have only tried one browser, try a different browser. For instance, I'm betting you are using Internet explorer. Being as you can't download, can you get a friend to down load the Firefox browser from www.mozilla.com? Firefox is free (but they will ask for a donation and they deserve it). If you can't get your hands on a copy of firefox, can you get your hands on one of those discs that AOL mails out which has the free 6 month trial period? (You don't have to keep using either browser, it's just a way to get another browser on your computer and seeing if you have the same problem on a different browser.)It would tell us a lot if you could try a different browse and see if you still have the same problem.
2. Have you changed your home page from yahoo to something else? If you know how to change your home page, do so. Change it to anything but I would recommend changing to a widely used web site such as www.msn.com or www.amazon.com or www.espn.com. Once you change the home page, go to the website that you want to download music from and try again. I doubt that this will work but even if it doesn't we gain information we need for our problem determination.
No offense to the people who are offering you advice and help but when they just tell you to go buy some software they usually aren't going to be helpful. The way to solve computer problems is to stop, take a deep breath and then perform problem determination. You can't start problem solution (outside of some very basic things) until you perform the problem determination.
Use the edit or addition function on yahoo answers and let me know what happens and the info I asked for and I'll be happy to try to assist further. Be specific. Be complete. Copy down any error messages or even any message you receive. Sorry but I don't give out my email.
Addition: The advice about a virus scan is a good one. Are you able to run a virus scan? Have you run a scan since this problem began. Obviously you can't download a recent set of virus definition. Besides you need to run the first virus scan from a disk , not from your loaded program. Can you borrow a Norton Antivirus 2006 disc - not to install the program but just to run the scan from the disc. By the way, I should have also asked this question. Have you ever been able to download or is this a recent problem.?

OK, I feel your frustration. What kind of "Stuff" are you looking to download. Limewire is a P2P download program which allows you to download programs, and software directly from other users (as you probably already know). What do you mean you get re-directed to Yahoo!? When you click on any file download hyperlink it takes you back to Yahoo!? Try www.download.com; this is a site with thousands of shareware files --- simply as a test, try to download one of these (any of them) files. You should be prompted to save a file to your computer. Does that happen? Or does it take you straight back to Yahoo! If it does, then some configuration on your computer is tweaked which returns you to Yahoo! On the Limewire website, you can select the following link: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe which should start the file download soon. Copy and paste that URL as I have lised it above in your web browser and see if that helps. Good luck!

Try to make sure that your system is not infected with Spyware or virus.
Try to make sure that your browser is not hijacked.
emule is another good open source free peer to peer application using which you can perform the downloads.
But if you have a firewall that has been configured to restrict the incoming connections your downloading process might not work.

Maybe its better to ask someone if they have the software you need, and download it off them from Yahoo Messenger.
