"Living in fear sucks."
Said the T-shirt another hurricane surfer gave me two years ago, when I needed a message like that and was about to make some big changes in my life.
The man himself had battled a lot. He believed that message.

Best advice I ever got was......"That which does not kill you, makes you stronger".
At the time, I thought the advice was ridiculous, because I was tired of struggling for my human rights.
Soon afterwards, I read this message......"That which does not kill you, will ruin you for life".
I now know that the first version....is the best advice I ever got, because the struggle was worth it.

Lower your standards and your performance will improve. I believe this is true because if I try to get something perfect it will end up worse than if I try to get it pretty good.

To trust God will all my heart, all my soul, and all my mind. i can't go wrong if I have a higher power taking control of my life. i do a terrible job at managing my own life, because I have so many defects of character, I needed someone new to be in charge of my life.

"Only GOD can give you true peace in your heart."
I think about that everytime I don't know what to do in a situation. If I don't feel at peace and know I am making the right situation, I try to make a better one.
It keeps me accountable for my life.
