Salmon patties are great. I take all the bones out that I can see, fork it into flakes, add an egg or two, and put enough flour in it to hold it together. You can add some diced onion if everyone likes onion. Pat it out like a hamburger----tip--put some water on your hands-it will not stick to u---and fry in a small amount of olive oil till brown on both sides and done of course. Cooking temp is about 5 or 6. Great served with rice, green beans and ketchup.
By the way I am referring to salmon in the can---drained. I use 2 cans for 4 people but we always eat the ones left later.

Hello qdrama, I'm Ammo and I do salmon alot. SO... I shall tell you the way I do it and you wont be disappointed. I use real salt, which is Celtic salt. You can find it in health food stores. It comes wet in the package because its the real salt that has all of the minerals your body needs. Don't use the sodium everyone uses daily. That stuff is poison believe it or not. So we use real salt, and I add powdered ginger to the mix along with granulated garlic. Now if you are preparing a few pieces of salmon then you would mix 1 cup of salt, 1/2 table spoon garlic and 1/2 table spoon ginger. Mix together , then what I do is lightly brush some vegetable oil onto the fish and add the mixture onto the fish. I sprinkle it. Then you can bake the fish until juicy but watch cuz fish can get dry and salmon fools some people. You can grill it as well. (this is making me hungry) All in all I use this mix for other fish as well. Mackerel, Blue fish, and Chum Salmon. It will work and it will enlighten your taste buds and your family and friends as well. Play with the mix and when its right for you then you have a winning combo. I have others but Ill stick to this for now.
Have a good evening and I hope this works for you. I have found that it works best on Salmon bought from a market and not the frozen packets from wal- mart.
Good night, Ammocomfidential

We have used Weber's Type A BBQ rub on salmon - it is superb.

2tablespoons paprika
1tablespoon kosher salt
1tablespoon cracked black pepper
2teaspoons granulated garlic
2teaspoons granulated onion
1teaspoon ground cumin

In a small bowl combine the ingredients. Press the rub into both sides of the fish and refrigerate for 1/2 hour prior to grilling to intensify flavors. (Try to use granulated garlic and onion. Powdered versions don't seem to be as good.)

Grill on a medium to hot fire, and remove when the fish starts to flake. About 8-10 minutes per inch of thickness.

You can also steam the salmon in a parchment paper pouch. Tightly fold and roll the edges to keep the steam inside and it will stay very moist.

Lemon juice, minced garlic & cilantro mixed in with melted butter. Spread on salmon steaks or filets.
Grill it on an oiled grill to prevent sticking - 3 or 4 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the steaks.

Another easy recipe (ones listed are just as good)

Grill or pan-sear salmon. In another pan add butter, dill weed, garlic, capers- heat to sizzle, add some white wine and lemon juice, season to taste- its the only way i eat it now haha, or just slather on some tartar sauce! lol ;)

Make a lemon butter sauce with capers. Or coat it with brown sugar while it's cooking.

well down here in the deep south, we fry salmon patties, personally, i think they're gross, but if you like salmon you may like these. just get some canned salmon, eggs, salt, pepper, buttermilk, and i think thats it, roll it up in little round servings and fry in about an inch of oil.

grill the salmon on the grill with the skin on, put teriaki sauce on just towards the end. Remove skin before serving. Serve over bed of Jasmine rice with slices of avocado on top.

It's my favorite!
