most all so called mental problems are a matter of an imbalance in brain chemistry, if they can rebalance it with a variety of brain chemicals you can then live a normal life, but its a very new science and very hard to find the balance.

Definitely most problems can be helped by medication. I didn't think i could ever take care of my children again. I thought i would never be normal again. I finally went to a doctor who convinced me to start a medication. It worked am raising two beautiful children and am happily married for almost 16 years.

depending on what mental problem you have. for people who are schizophrenic, bi-polar and such things, i think that the medication really does help that person live a balanced life if they are diagnosed and medicated properly. for people with anxiety and depression, it can be iffy. i suppose they can help to an extent. but problems like that really start on the outside, not the in, and i believe that if you resolve the problems and balance the problems that are causing it in the first place, it will cure itself. you shouldnt run to drugs for everything. sometimes you need to fix yourself not your chemical balance

Yes and No. You have to get the right combonation. But you always have to have the thought that they can help because I noticed that when the first put me on meds I had the thought they arent gonna work blh blah. And they didn't. IT also could have been that I was on the wrong combo. Finally I was put on something that help a lot and I was more open to it because i was getting sick of feeling the way I did.
