The reason they win often, is because our judicial system is no longer judges and juries. It's administrative officers. We are not under common law, but under admiralty/maritime law (sea merchants originally had this - it's like international law when you're between countries) and basically you are guilty unless you prove you are not. Have you ever noticed you can't plead innocent - just guilty or non guilty. If you're interested, check out these websites. You'll see in the courtroom, the flag they have has gold fringe - that's a military flag. There is a lot online about this - just do a search for admiralty or maritime law.

Why yes I have... and, the "law" doesn't always win.

Back in the early 90's I was pulled over and told that, "you were speeding."

To make a long story short, that was BS. The officer pulled me over because it was late at night and I was driving a POS. I took some pictures of the area and included some physics to prove that there was no way I could have been speeding and closed my argument by stating something like, "I understand the officer has to make-up an excuse to pull me over; but, that doesn't mean he has to write me a ticket to justify his reasons -- I would have pulled me over because my car is a POS... (or something to that affect)."

I fought against the validity of a bogus ticket and I used nothing but the facts to win my case...

True Story.

p.s. I also fought another speeding ticket and I only won 50% of that case. The judge reduced the fine; but, I still had to pay a few bucks on that one. 50% is still a loss though.

p.s.s. Hey Law of G Girl... that was funny.

The law always wins. Great song, though. The Clash covered it--was the original Bobby Fuller Five??

Yep, DUI, $2K for a lawyer, fight in court - the outcome?
Law won
Lawyer got $2K
I lost

Yeah. I tried to talk my way out of a ticket - no dice. So I went to court to try to get out of it, but the cop actually showed up - so no dice again.

When I was hiding in Honduras, (I was a desperate man), I brought lawyers, guns, and money. The s**t had hit the fan.
