When the offering plate comes around I hold a $20 in my hand and I act like I put it in the plate but really i pick up several other bills. my question is could I go to jail for this I made $150 just last sunday

A) that is totally wrong. and you will have to answer for it on day if you never get cought by the church B) if you get cought in some states you can be a jailed. and if your church is a non-profit agency it can be a worse sentance. But i would be more worried about what will happen when you have to answer to it to a higher power GOD!!! I don't even make change in the offering plate for the smiple fact that someone may see it and say something but YES IT'S VERY WRONG

You aren't just stealing from a faceless church, but the people those funds would go towards supporting, which are most likely food banks, elderly, single mothers, suicide hotlines, etc.
If you are really that needy, just ask the church for help. That is what they are there for. If you aren't that needy, then perhaps to listen to the message while you are there stealing.

You are stealing from God and not the church it's self.
Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
Leviticus 19:11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

If it was truly a christian church they would understand that you have a need for the money, However, God would understand that you stole money and you will answer to it later.
Repent your sins and you shall be forgiven. If you really need the money go to the pastor of the church and see if they would help, my guess is they will.

You must not go to church at all because you are not suppose to steal. You think that you are hiding it and you are not going to get caught but God sees everything and you will be judged according to what you do and say. In your case what you have stolen from him. God have mercy on your soul. I will pray for you.

Don't worry if you're white protestant Jebus will probably overlook it but if your not white or protestant then you'll be going to hell anyway so it doesn't really matter. Just remember when the white man rises up you'll be one of the first on our list if your white. I mean how can you sink as low as a *******?
