if you do that it will definitely scare them about going in the house however they Will begin to find ways of hiding it such as licking up their pee, eating their poop, going behind a couch or chair.Trainers will say to never yell at them for this reason.Maybe you should try crate training it works for my pup.

You should never ever ever rub their noses in it .. The have no understanding of what the hell you are doing and you will scare them. They have the concentration span of 4 seconds.
If you catch it in the act, say NO and take it outside. When it finishes what it was doing, praise him.
You must take pup outside after it has eaten, let it run around and when it has pooped or wee'd praise him.
Same when he wakes up after a nap. If he starts sniffing around, take him outside.
Ignore mistakes that you find, just clean em up, and praise when he does as he should.
When put to bed at night, it is best to be in a small room that can be cleaned easily like a laundry or bathroom.
My pups were all pretty much trained within a week. Yes there were occasional accidents and the poor thing was really sorry cos he knew he did wrong.
It just takes patience

We have tried this and it works very well, there is a spray that smells like urine to the puppy and you spray this on a towel/paper or where ever you want the pup to poop, the doggy will learn very fast this is the place, and you can even change this place by doing same and moving towel to differant place, Watch the puppys body lauguage very carefully, they are very smart and will tell you alot if you take time to look...please don't rub the nose in it, doggys are not able to talk, and they need good attention, thanks for reading....

well I have had dogs all my life and the way me and my family train them is crate training....when you leave them alone put them in a dog crate and when you let them out of the crate take them out side...they do not do it where they sleep..and they learn fast...you can also yous puppy pads that are treated with the traingin smells that atract them but use them by doors so you can put the pet out when they try to use it...but one thing...dogs are smart..and do get revenge if you piss them off...the main thing is teach them to let you know they need to go out. Just like a baby love them and teach them..and have a hell of a lot of patiants..and keep a rolled up news paper on hand..a smak on the butt scares them but does not hurt...its the noise and after 2 or 3 uses all you have to to is show it to them..and you can read books...reward them for doing good...no differant that raising a kid
you have to do the same things
except teach them to wlk and talk...geez i never want a dog to talk..lol
just remember its part of your family for a long time!!!

walk it and walk it and walk it
no, the newspaper is for you, everytime the dog "goes" inside then hit yourself with the paper for not paying attention to your dog
walk the dog often, every 2 hrs would be good start
remember that anything that goes into the dog will come out 20 min later

It's effective...don't smear it's face in it...that just makes a mess...but dragging it over and thwacking it does leave an impression. Also, you should take it outside...or put it outside if you have a fence when it does that.
