I have 3 children, 2 girls (18 months, 3 years) and a boy (8 months)...I love being a mom, and suprisingly, 3 kids have been quite simple for me and my husband. We really would like another child. I'm wondering how difficult another child would be with both me and my husband in high-stress careers?

thanks for all your comments! For the record, we're very financially stable, so money isn't an issue.

oh and no, I'm not a housewife. Both me and my husband have stressful careers, but we've made it work so far...

well I have 4 kids. they are 7, 11,11 and 12. two are step kids and two are mine. Honestly looking at their ages....when do the little ones get to be the baby??? you already have the two really too close. sure when they do things around the same time it can be easier, but they share friends ect.... and most siblings dont want to do that.
If you want another child I would at least wait until the youngest is 2. Then try.
My advice is this...enjoy the ones you have. Dont wish you had others. Could cause a child to have a complex

Well first off lemme say good job well done taking care of the three you have now & working, its hard enough to be a stay at home mom but for the ones who have to work,is harder I can imagine.I am a stay at home mom myself. But to answer your question, honestly none of us here can answer that for you. From my own experience after you have three then pshhh you can handle another, but of course I am not including the finacial part of it.You bascially have to see it this way and ask your self these questions. Are you basically willing to put more out for another child,if so then you got your answer.Only you & your hubby know how much you two can handle.Good Luck to you.

I think at this point one more wouldn't make too much of a difference... then again we don't know you and your husband... I personally would run screaming for the hills with 3 ages 3 and under....lol but if you both want another and can financially and emotionally support the baby go for it.

I wanted me children early (at a young age) and close together. I had them both before I was 20 and loved it. It is so much better for children to grow up together. My oldest brother is 17 years older than me and we hardly know each other. Having them close together in age is easier on you too because they will have each other when you can't be there. Large families are a lot of fun too.

Well, are you a house wife? Can your oldest kid find her way through the house? It often depends on management and a net worth. Maybe you should wait a few years.

If you love raising children and find three easy then go for four. I have four and I am tired. Bone tired. My oldest is in big trouble and my youngest boy is ADHD and Aspergers. I am just so tired.

If you love em and can afford em why not. As long as it's not too stressful on your finances you both dun mind, what the heck. Who cares what other people say.

Of course not! You may want to consider staying home for a while, but I think a large family is great!
