If they are loose then animal control will take care of them. Now for the cats! LOL

If the animals trust you take them all in and find a free chop shop or vet that will spay or neuter them then let back out in your neighbors yard.

Probably best to call animal control if your ready for some neighborhood bickering. I assume your neighbors may not like having animal control called on them. But hey. It makes your day obviously crappy and the US constitution gives us freedoms and the pursuit of happiness. So get happy and call Bob Barker.

Collect them all and turn them in for adoption as found on the street or animal control is excellent at taking animals.

This bothers me that people can be so inconsiderate of others. My god have you heard a female cat screaming during the huchykuchy? It can be blood curtailing.

Pet owners have a responsibility - to care properly for their pets AND PAY FOR THEIR damages.
So take it in logical steps and warn the neighbors how you feel and the steps you WILL take.

Haveyou faced your neighbor with this issue? In alot of cities and states it is legal to get a Pet Trap from the SPCA/HumanSociety, that is safe and does not harm the cat. Maybe some of your neighbors would help you try to capture the cat and turn it in to your local animal society; so she doesn't have to go through agony after agony having kittens. You can also try to trap the wild kittens too.If enough people will help the SPCA can fine the neighbors;but it takes plenty of neighbors to report the situation also

I hate animal control. It is filthy and cruel. Animals there have a very slim chance of getting adopted.

HOWEVER.....

The simple facts are:

There are already WAY too many animals (25 million strays last year) and there is no room for ignorant people that let their animals wildly reproduce.

Additionally, if they are not spaying their cat, chances are, all the kittens running around are without proper shots.

I am sorry to say the gas chamber at animal control is far more humane than the suffering death of FIV, getting hit by a car, or any of the other threats of outdoor life for these cats.

Simply, do not feel bad. Call animal control. You are saving these cats - and the ones yet to come - from a horrible end.

Call the Humane Society, the Animal Rescue Society, the SPCA; get any of them you can involved. This is irresponsible pet ownership, & possibly animal abuse. Any momma cats allowed to have litter after litter unchecked are headed for misery, disease, & early death! And while you're at it, consider reporting the people to Child Protective Svcs. It is neither healthy nor responsible to leave children unsupervised around feral animals. Then take 'em to small claims court to make 'em pay for the damage to your property! Do you get the idea I don't have much sympathy for thoughtless uncaring people like this? You're right!

SUPERBOOKS ANSWERS:
=====================

It depends on what city you live in . If you live in a very large city like New York City, the best thing to do is call the NYCACC (You can look them up online).

They do not necessarily KILL the cats. It depends on what day you drop them off (BEST TIME to drop off animals is on MONDAY at around NOONTIME).

On Mondays , the animals EVEN cats -have the best advantage of being adopted rather than killed. There's not much action there on the weekends and Sunday, so don't drop them off then at that time.

I was there on a Monday, and saw that FOUR LARGE adult cats were adopted. (I asked these people why they were adopting large, grown cats, and they said they wanted a cat but didn't want the trouble of training a kitten and then having the kitten be so needy -as kittens can be).

SO, just because cats are older or larger that doesn't mean they will wind up being killed . THey will be killed if no one comes to adopt them but as you see many people come there on Mondays to adopt large cats . (Some others adopted many kittens that day, a saint bernard and a pinscher -same day). EVEN these dogs were larger (the dogs weighed at least 100 pounds each) .

So, in the large cities, cats and kittens have much better chance of staying alive in the shelters than they have of trying to fend for themselves in dangerous traffic or with neighbors who might poison them .

=========In the country or in other cities, smaller ones, sometimes the pound is a room where people just throw animals down a chute. In this case, you might want to first see if you can give some animals for adoption. Or contact a group like SAVE OUR STRAYS and see if they can help.

Even though we don't like shelters, some are the most humane treatment that a cat gets in a large city.

IN the cities, cats have to deal with traffic -becoming road-kill, being chased by large dogs, including by pit bulls, being tormented by some kids, being chased from yard to yard, not having enough food or shelter, and giving birth outdoors .

Put ads in craigslist.com to get homes for your cats and kittens.

Find any free advertisement where you live like those weekly papers and sell your cats there or have them picked up for adoption.

THERE ARE strange people who will get kittens just to feed to their own animals (like large snakes) and who will get kittens to have them in fights, so don't give your kittens away free unless you know the recipient personally .

When you put your kittens up for adoption , charge a fee or deposit and when the kitten gets spayed you can refund the deposit or not .

OR tell the person the PRICE for the kitten instead of having the kittens adopted.

Ask around perhaps someone wants a mascot or school pet and someone will be able to take care of that pet. But be sure you know that person.

Here are some places to get free ads in the city, NYC:

The COurier Life -has some free selling ads --but not all .

THE MARKETEER might let you have an ad in there.

craigslists pets -that should help.

ASK all friends, neighbors and relatives if they know of anyone who wants kittens. Put an ad in the vets office.

Put ads in the supermarket places --announcing small fee for kiten adoption.

There are so many ways to do this . Be creative.

You can replace the screens cheaply by going to TRUE VALUE hardware store, and buying screen material and replace your old screen material with this new material.

INDOORS, if you don't want cats to go on certain areas, just cover those areas with a dollar shower curtain. I.E. if you don't want the cat on the bed put plastic on it. Cats don't like the feel of plastic and they should stay off the bed once it's covered in plastic.

Outdoors, I don't know if it works, but people have put pepper powder outdoors, and supposedly that doesn't harm the cats but makes them sneeze and then they stay away from that place.

If you cannot adopt them out or give hem away , then advertise for a pet sitter temporarily , see if that works.

Try and share the cats , give to a friend for three weeks then back to the other friend. This will give them and you some space that is needed .

Go online to pet sites and see what ideas they have also.

Thanks for asking that question.

Well my brother had a house he rented and they had more cats at the one house than they had in the whole state. Best bet is to call animal control or get live animal traps and catch them. then you can take them to the shelter. Some shelters have live traps you can use or rent. Hope that helps

You need to start a TNR program (trap neuter release). That is the only effective population control. Otherwise the number of cats will increase to exceed the food supply.

My neighbors cat is pregnant and having litter after litter after litter, and I am sick of it. There are more cats in our neighborhood than people and when I asked them how many they had they said "a few". They admit some are sorrel and some are human friendly, but refuse to do anything about it.
Not a darned thing we can do.

Call animal control on them. Their cats are not allowed to be on your property without your permission. If they do not have enough common sense to keep their kittens contained, then they have no business having them. You can always take them to the animal shelter as strays too. Kittens are usually adopted because they're still little and cute. You would probably be doing them a favor, plus they'll hold them to see if anyone claims them.
