whatever you do DO NOT give your pet tylenol liquid or childrens formula it will kill him, and i wouldnt be giving my pet anything until you ask a vet if it will hurt him, there are certain things that we use that will kill them, this one time I had a cat that had a cut on his back and I put some alcohol on it and the next day he died and the vet said it was the alcohol that caused it, so please be careful what you give your pet

My vet has prescribed Robitussin DM for my dogs with kennel cough. But, we knew it was kennel cough. Coughs in dogs could be signals of underlying serious medical conditions -- such as congestive heart failure, heartworms, renal failure, etc etc. It sounds like a vet visit is in order. Better safe than sorry!
